Issue 145 – Theresa Caputo & Other Psychics are Spiritual Predators

By Kirby Robinson

Most psychics are spiritual predators. The worst offenders revel in the fame and wealth as they commit unsavory acts. They leave behind their victim's destroyed lives. No, the wounds and bruises might not show up for years but they will. Only God will be able to heal them.

On SciFake.com you can see a video in which Theresa Caputo reveals her spiritual predator side on family members who lost a beloved young daughter to cancer.

Like all other spiritual predators, the Long Island Medium cares nothing about her victims.

At the 0:45-second mark you'll see her placing her hand to her left ear. Why is this? Well, we're told this is her ear piece that is used to feed her information while doing readings.

As usual, Theresa gets her facts wrong when she says that the girl still doesn't have her hair in the afterlife. The Long Island Medium must have slept through the church's teaching on "Spirit Bodies." When we go to heaven, we get spirit bodies. They are perfect and whole so the little girl does have her hair back.

What Theresa and other so-called psychics suffer from are the effects of spiritual adultery. Just like the cheating spouse has turned their back on what should be the Holy Trinity:  God/Jesus/Holy Ghost. Instead, they've embraced a new love which can be a lesser god, a demon, or something of this world like power, fame and money.

Such acts allow the person to be seduced spiritually. Eventually they become spiritually dead. This enables them to engage in acts that are far less than honorable. You can compare this to priests who rape children. They know it's not right and not of God, but they have sold out to the flesh and are ruled by it.

Notice that Theresa is smiling as she lies to her clients about their dead loved ones or the spiritual world. She knows that she hasn't contacted anyone. She doesn't know anything special about the spiritual world. But she just loves getting paid to be a spiritual predator. After all, she has a designer shoe addiction to support and a house to renovate.

This has to stop and the law can stop it. Feel to repost the following call for victims of the Long Island Medium on your Facebook page, Twitter account, any social media page/public forum, a website, anywhere you can. Let's stop this spiritual predator.

Issue 142 – Fake Para-Celebs Not in the Christmas Spirit

By Kirby Robinson

Due to a scheduling difficulty, tonight's Eye on the Paranormal Radio Show has been changed to Wednesday, December 11.

Tony Spera Proves Our Point: Fake Para-Celebs Will Do Anything to Keep You from the Truth

On November 20, 2013, we broke the story due to the fine work Chris Baricko on the matter of the Night of the Conjuring and how it was a big rip off. Here's the link, just scroll down to More Lorraine Warren & Tony Spera Highjinks: http://eyeontheparanormal.blogspot.com/2013/11/issue-141-cycle-numbers-of-jfk.html

Then the Examiner picked up the story, without giving the Eye on the Paranormal any credit. Here's the link:

It seems that Tony and his group of paranormal hoods took it on themselves and began attacking Chris due to the fact that he dared tell the truth. We all know the paranormal community doesn't want that.

To Heaven and Back & More New Age Deceptions

On Sunday night while the nation dealt with the death of Paul Walker and the wreck of the commuter train crash in New York, CNN ran a repeat of the program To Heaven and Back. This show details stories of individuals who experience of NDE [Near Death Experiences]. Every event shared happened the way the survivors claimed. No one questioned the stories. No opposing viewpoint was share. All the experiences "proved" the existence of some type of new age heaven.

CNN usually bashes religion and tells us God isn't real…unless it gets ratings and is on their terms.

In the weeks to come we'll take a further look into these claims and find out they have more in common with hell.

Paul Crouch and Paul Walker Die on the Same Day. What About Their Numbers?

I doubt if Paul Crouch and Paul Walker ever met, but they have some interesting similarities. Both have the number 5 in common.

Paul Walker was born 9/12/73 = 5

He was on his 9/12/2013 to 9/12/2018 just a little bit over 100 days into his new cycle. 100 days of a start or end of cycle means a time of great change.

Paul Crouch was born 3/30/34 = 5. He was on his 03/30/2009 to 03/30/2014, meaning he was in his last year of his current cycle. This stage often means being prepared for things to come.

They both died on 11/30/2013 = 11. 11 days represent people jumping from one thing to another.

May they both be at peace.

Chip Coffey Jumps on Paul Walker's Death!

Hey Chip, give the family a break. It seems as though most psychics can't pass up a chance to insert themselves into the news. Moments after the news broke of Mr. Walker's death, Mr. Coffey had to stick his 2 cents in. He pondered on the fact that a few weeks ago a false story broke on the web that Mr. Walker died in a car crash. Chip wondered if the prankster caused the death? Did they see the death take place as a psychic premonition?

Well, since Chip asked the question I feel up to responding.

The answer is neither. The person that posted the hoax was big jerk. It was nothing but a mere coincidence that a few weeks later Mr. Walker died in that manner. But what is the outcome of Mr. Walker's death?

- His 15-year-old daughter that he leaves behind.

- His mom and dad who had to see one of their kids die before them.

- His brothers and sisters who had to bury one of their own.

- Friends and loved ones who now must fill a hole in their life they may never fill.

- His fans that will miss him.

Dead is dead. How and why at the moments after the death are not important. What is important is the healing process.

Now go and sit in a corner.

Chip Coffey's Complains of a 1-Star Book Review

Chip spends his time reading reviews of Theresa Caputo's book. My 1-star review for her book made him lose his pumpkin pie and turkey.

I wonder if all psychics /mediums sleep with a poster of Theresa Caputo and Pat Longo over their beds? Do they fantasize that they have a hit TLC program? They're in front of thousands of audience members packing the house? Not the one or two hundred or gallery readings the small fry get. Do they do something naughty when they gaze at the chubby medium in stiletto heels?

In my book, I've exposed Theresa Caputo for what she is. A complete fake. She is leading many down a dark path [concealed with fake white light] "teaching" the grieving and the hurting a false truth. When the deluded Caputo believer dies and finds out it's all a lie, it'll be too late.

I'm not afraid to speak and write about the truth. If Theresa Caputo would dare to debate what I have to say, I'd be glad to debate with her.

But Chip Coffey is of the pack mentality. If someone should attack one fake psychic/medium and expose how the cold readings work, then the rest of the pack is threatened. Chip posted the following to his Facebook page.

I just read a review about a book on spirituality and communicating with spirits. And it really pissed me off!

The review -- which was really more of a bashing of the book than a review -- was written by someone who is quite obviously a fundamental, perhaps even literalist, Christian. In the review, he stated that the author of the book offers no proof that any of her claims are real because there is no proof.

News flash for the "reviewer" -- There is no "proof" that your beliefs are correct or valid either! Belief and faith are mostly based on things unseen and unproven.

I am always quite disgusted and often angry whenever I hear or read about one person (or a group of people) denouncing the beliefs of another individual (or group of individuals). Just because I do not believe the same things as someone else doesn't make me wrong and them right.

I was raised in the Roman Catholic faith, but as I grew older, I combined my spiritual beliefs with Catholicism. I have a very personal and profound relationship with God. That's what I choose to call my Higher Power. Feel free to choose your own name. Or not. I believe what I choose to believe, what feels right to me and makes me feel close to The Divine.

I NEVER try to convince or convert others to my ways of thinking or believing. Those who try to impose their personal religious or spiritual beliefs on others are zealots and bullies. NEVER ALLOW ANYONE TO TELL YOU WHAT YOU SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT BELIEVE BECAUSE IT IS NONE OF THEIR DAMNED BUSINESS!

Rant over.........

I guess this is the reason that no one on my side of Chip's bloodline got an invite for turkey day. No one in my family ever got an invitation to visit a Coffey home.

But you see Chip doesn't tell the whole story.

Chippie's spirit guides failed him yet again. I'm not a fundamentalist or a literalist [Chip you better get those guides under control].

When I talk about proof, if you bother to read the book, There's More to Life Than This: Healing Messages, Remarkable Stories, and Insight About the Other Side from the Long Island Medium, she spends much time talking about angels. Actually, she knows virtually nothing about angelology. She talks about life on the Other Side that contradicts the Catholic point of view. Nor does she offer any proof about being a psychic medium, or just a medium.

Mr. Coffey claims any spiritual path is good and legit and no one can say anything bad about them. Well, let's put Mr. Coffey's words to a test.

- In the Middle East many nations fall under the Muslim faith. The Muslim Religious Police root out non-Muslims and put them on trial. Women have no value. In the UK: "1/3 of young UK Muslims believe a Muslim who converts to another religion should be executed." See and read about what's going on over there. http://www.frontpagemag.com/2013/dgreenfield/muslim-religious-police-begin-enforcing-islamic-law-in-london-video/

- Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas. Homophobic to the extreme.

- Christian Identity. These conservative American Protestants teach that whites are closer to God. The darker your skin, the more likely you are to go to hell.

- In Utah, Arizona and parts of Texas, there are conclaves that fall under the influence of a so-called prophet named Warren Jeffs. He's now a long-term guest at the Louis C. Powledge Unit in Texas, due to his belief that men should marry little girls. The man's not a prophet, he's a pedophile and a polygamist who had 78 wives.

The concept that Mr. Coffey preaches sounds nice. But like most paths of darkness, they are dressed up to look nice and pleasant. In fact, they lead to a very bad place, one filled with pain and suffering. Theresa Caputo and all the rest tell lie after lie, and by the time you discover the truth, it's way too late.

Next week -- More truth they want hidden.

Happy Turkey Day & Theresa Caputo's Book is Stuffed with Turkey Crap

By Kirby Robinson

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Just a reminder, there is no radio show tonight. Also, our regular bloggers Lisa Grace, Mark Hunneman, and Stephen Piersall won't have blogs for us due to the holiday weekend.

I reviewed a copy of Theresa Caputo's book There's More to Life Than This: Healing Messages, Remarkable Stories, and Insight About the Other Side from the Long Island Medium. Aside from the endless and meaningless title, was it as bad as I thought it would be? Yes.

I posted my review on Amazon and to save you a trip over there here is the review in its entirety.

You'll find more wisdom in the bottom of a Jack Daniel's bottle

I was a part of the new age in the 1980s and worked as a psychic-medium for several years, so I think I'm in a position to offer a unique perspective of Theresa Caputo's book. I'd like to point out it was also written by her teacher, Pat Longo. Kristina Grish, the credited co-author, was brought in to make sure the manuscript got that Long Island phraseology.

Just like Caputo's reality show, the book is nothing more than a scam to suck in the sad and the hurting. Theresa and Pat make grandiose claims yet offer no proof that any of these claims are real--because they can't. This book consists of catch phrases popular within the new age movement. "Everyone has intuition!" "Everyone can communicate with spirit!" Theresa should feel guilty for referring to herself as a "good Catholic girl" as the content of the book is 100% contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church. Two examples: Catholics don't believe in reincarnation, and they don't believe in consulting mediums. Nor would anyone with any genuine wisdom and insight choose to plunk down hundreds of dollars [and wait for months or even years] to consult a medium. Especially when God and Jesus Christ don't charge any money and are always there.

The biggest problem with this fantasy book is the gullible readers who believe what this Long Island housewife says. What happens when they die and come to find out that the life Theresa and Pat rhapsodized about on the Other Side is a lie? Sadly, it's too late to ask for a refund.

Remembering Psychic-Medium Sylvia Browne

By Kirby Robinson

Psychic-Medium Sylvia Browne finally got to really see what was on the other side on November 20, 2013. She frequently spoke and wrote about it, along with making numerous predictions. Here are just two examples of her predictions…

Sylvia Browne was called a psychic-medium, and she was also a cult leader. She published many books that were filled with false information she channeled from her demonic spirit guides. She told the parents of a missing young boy that he was dead and they needed to move on. Later the boy was found alive and well. Her response was "sorry."

Well it seems that once is not enough for good old Sylvia. She told the mom of Amanda Berry, one of the three young woman found imprisoned in a Cleveland, Ohio home, that her daughter was dead. "Psychic Sylvia Browne, who has made a career of televised psychic readings, told Louwanna Miller on a 2004 episode of the show that her daughter was dead, causing Miller to break down in tears on the show's set." Amanda's mother died a year later, thinking her child was dead. In reality, Amanda was alive and even gave birth to a granddaughter.

The above gives you the details but it doesn't give us what we really need to know--how to stop these fakers from preying on the needs of the hurt and grieving. That especially includes Sylvia Browne's new heir to the throne of psychic fakes, Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo.

It's just for entertainment they say. We can't see everything, they say. We can't be right all the time…but they'll take your money, they'll plant false ideas in the heads of the public and they'll smile all the way to the bank.

Issue 139 – Random Paranormal Thoughts

By Kirby Robinson

The Eye on the Paranormal Radio Show

Bad Psychics [and absurdities] exposed on tonight's radio show. Tune into from 10 to 12:00 EST/ 7 to 9:00 [PST] to listen to the show. Callers welcome!

'Haunted Collector' is Gone -- Another Fake Show Bites the Dust

John Zaffis was better than this show. We shouldn't get upset that it's gone the way of such shows as Paranormal State and Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal.

When we set out to debunk an episode, it took only one phone call to the investigation site and a single Google search to come up with the information we needed. We had to work a little harder to debunk Paranormal State. Also, we had a few bloggers in the pipeline who told us about Haunted Collector and the number of places they visited that were open to ghost hunters for a fee. Hmmm, seems like they never told the public about that.

We were sent a link to this guy's blog:

What an ego driven piece of crap. Why do people look up to these fools? Just because they're on TV? Whenever I see or hear a person is on one of these shows it makes me wonder how easily they sell their souls for that few minutes of televised fame.

West Memphis 3--No Satanic Ritual Abuse & No Psychics

If you get a chance, watch the 2012 documentary West of Memphis. It covers the infamous 1993 case from finding three bodies of eight-year-old boys to the release of the three men convicted of the murders years later. The question remains: who killed the boys?

The producers tell us who they think did it. But after looking into the case not one psychic stepped forward and offered their help. Sylvia Browne was a no-show. James Van Praagh had nothing to say. Theresa Caputo, who claims to bring loved ones on the Other Side together isn't offering any free readings. Why? Because they can't talk to the dead, not even famous dead people.

Ghost Hunters Insensitive to Family's Privacy

The following article drives home the price that is paid by insensitive ghost hunters who only care about making money and spreading their fame -- while the truth is twisted.

American Pastor's Life Means Something -- Even if the Media Ignores Him

The media doesn't care as the word Christian is mentioned. They aren't concerned that American pastor Saeed Abedini, a U.S. citizen, is put into the same area of an Iranian prison as rapists and murderers. Obama doesn't care even though he has a man's blood on his hands. A pastor whose only crime is loving God. Obama's approval rating is in the low 30s. In heaven, it's far less.

Issue 137 – Chip Coffey Says YET!

By Kirby Robinson

There is a potential for cancellation of tonight's radio show depending upon events in Washington, DC. My ego's not so big to think my humble opinions trump historical decisions. If there is a radio show, it'll be about evil and the Book of Genesis.

News broke yesterday that Chip Coffey had his tighty whities in a bundle and he wanted everyone to know about it.

It seems that a radio show host had the guts to raise questions concerning not only Chip Coffey's psychic abilities, but also those of many other psychics.

What was Chip griping about? Here it is, posted on his Facebook page.

just did a quick guest spot on MSP's KFAN 1003 and host Sludge treated me VERY disrespectfully. Is that the way he treats all his guests? Very unprofessional and uncool!

You'll hear and read different things from the paranormal peanut gallery [folks who think they know everything in the paranormal but can't recall their name unless they check their ID].

Here is what happened..

Chip was in Minnesota hitting the pavement hard trying to sell some tickets due to very sluggish sales. He was desperate to get on any show he could to drum up those ticket sales. Some folks claim he was invited to be on which isn't true. Chip was asking to be on.

The Power Trip is the name of the show. It's on a sports radio station. Here's the website:

The show's hosts are known for being shock jock types. Why didn't Chip's spirit guides warn him of this? That question is too simplistic. His PR person was there, as was the rest of his posse, so they should have known what they were walking into.

Here is the interview:

On the above page, click the play button to hear it. [Note that the interview reads Chip Cofey]. Chip's interview starts at the 18:49 mark.

Chip was asking to be on.

Chip knew how they felt about him and his profession.

Chip relies heavily on the word YET. Yet is one of the fallbacks that cold readers depend on. Why? Because cold readers will never give you a date. They can't.

Humor is often used as the fraud's defense mechanism. Theresa Caputo also uses it.

A psychic telling a woman she is going to get pregnant is a 50/50 guess. And yes, Chip guesses.

Every man eventually will have prostate issues. How can that be a prediction?

Chip called the man an "ahole" and made quite a scene in the hallway, leaving the office workers gasping at his temper.

Maybe Chip can be Anger Management 2.

Criss Angel Debunks the Long Island Medium

"If somebody's doing that for entertainment purposes, that's one thing. But if they claim to be communicating with the dead, I don't care if they're from my hometown, I don't care if they're my family members: I'll expose them and tell them what they really are," Angel says. "The Long Island Medium is just another charlatan. Any time she wants, we'll put her through a series of tests and I'll offer a million-dollar challenge to her. And you can put that in black and white." Here's the full story:

If Theresa Caputo was the alleged real deal, she could collect $1,000,000. What could she do with that million?

1 Pay Pat Longo for writing her book for her

2 Do $1,000,000 worth of free readings

3 Buy a new house instead of renovating her old one

4 Go on a long trip with her BFF Ron Tebo

5 Give it to the Red Cross

Next week a look into the new shows Snake Salvation and Preachers of L.A.

The Case Against Theresa Caputo the Long Island Medium—Parts 1 & 2

By Kirby Robinson

Here are two blogs that were originally posted back in May, well before the release of her new book—and mine. They concern the credibility of  the Long Island Medium, Theresa Caputo. For the past few years, she has become America's so-called number one medium. Nowhere has she ever claimed to be a psychic, as those claims can easily be disproven. Also, the Long Island Medium claims she is never wrong.

Americans are embracing psychics and mediums. Go to Google and type in psychics and mediums-- you could spend 8 hours a day for a year, and never visit every site on the Internet.

You can spend hundreds to thousands of dollars getting a phone reading, Skype, and in person readings. You can attend gallery readings, which is a group reading, and you're not even promised to receive one bit of information from the other side.

Sylvia Browne is the former number one psychic of record who has been featured onLarry King Live and appeared frequently on The Montel Williams Show. Ms. Browne has more than 50 books in print, 21 books in audio format, and all her so-called nonfiction titles can't stand a serious test of legitimacy. For example, her book "Afterlives of the Rich and Famous" is impossible to fact check—she can make up any story. And she does---as her books are simply flights of fantasy and fiction.

Why is this? Why has the public become so accepting of these modern day snake oil salespeople?

-  Rejection of God's message and embracing a feel good new age false religion.

- Uncertain times force people to find sanctuary in something. Some find it in drugs while others find it in people who will tell them what they want to hear.

- Searching for the truth about life after death. Going by what the psychics and mediums say, we can live any way we want. We can do anything we want. We can think any way we want to and sin any way we want to. If we accept their words, whether written in a book or spoken on TV, there will be no price to pay. There is no hell, no punishment -- just a bright and sunny afterlife.

- A society should embrace a learning process. Now, everything is spoon-fed to us. Our ability to think, question, and engage in a scientific manner has been reduced. If anyone on TV says it is so, then it is so. If I read it on the Internet, it is so. If some "expert" appears for a few minutes on Oprah or Ellen and says it is so – then it must be so.

Like every other medium and psychic out there, The Long Island Medium is a fake. She feeds on the emotionally needy and the spiritually insecure. Like all the others, she increases her bank account by tricking her audience that she has all the answers. She convinces her cult-like followers that she has something called "the spirit" that feeds her the information that you crave.

When I go to funerals, you won't see me cry. It's not that I am heartless. It's due to my faith. I know the saved have gone on to heaven. Why? Because that is what my faith teaches me. When the unsaved die, they made the choice to go to hell. No matter how many prayers one would say, no matter if some church baptizes them after death, that is where they are going. It is clearly stated that way-- no doubts, no worries. But so many new age "thinkers" are left in doubt. So, the new agers must turn to a medium to find out where they are at and are they all right?

The Long Island Medium talks to "SPIRIT." [Some Christians might say that is a demon feeding her information as they point out she never talks about angels, she never sees God, only mentions "a God" and the word Jesus never crossed her lips -- and they might be right].

What I've seen of her readings and our investigation into her televised Florida road trip, we uncover her so-called talent for talking to the dead.

Let me share a video from the show "LIVE! with Kelly and Michael" of a reading she did with the audience and show how she tricks the audience.

Notice she's working with an audience of over 150 people. Medium or not, you can safely ask:

- Who here lost a child?

- Who here lost a husband, wife, parent, sibling, or a grandparent?

- Who here lost a baby?

- Who here lost someone to cancer, AIDS, heart attack, car accident, etc.

You're going to have hands shoot up because these things happen. They're fairly common so you're going to get it right.

When they go out looking for an audience to fill their studio they tell people who the guest is so she knows why people are there.

Earlier on, she had a long string of misses and she had to come up with an explanation for it. She claimed it was confusion in interpreting the signs that she received.

She goes for "who over here has lost a husband?" and she sees several admitted widows. Notice that she goes over to an older female time. Cue violins, it's time to yank the heartstrings. The next step is to go into her cold readings mode, asking questions in such rapid-fire fashion you fail to notice Theresa isn't really telling her anything but simply asking questions.

Once she starts talking to the woman start counting the seconds.

- She says, "People leave this world in many different ways." The purpose of that statement is to fool the audience into believing that Theresa is knowledgeable in the ways of the spirit world. Listen to what comes up next.

- Theresa complements the woman for all the unselfish things she did. That is what the widow wants to hear. Have you ever heard a medium say, "Hey stupid, your husband says you were a lousy mother, couldn't cook worth a damn, were lousy in the sack and I couldn't wait to die!"

- Have you been counting? If you have, then ask yourself how could she be talking to the spirit of the dead man and never get a name from him? When she starts to miss with the food questions, she has to cover her tracks. These are signs and symbols she gets. She isn't wrong only responding to the symbols that she's seen.

- She quickly breaks it off and goes to her next reading. In reality, this isn't a reading but an endorsement of her abilities. She tries, but fails, to get the audience to laugh. Again, no name is given.

- She tells the group that things she says might apply to them even though she isn't looking at them. This gives the audience a false sense that they got something from the session. In reality,  they got nothing.

- She talks about a "blood illness" that is head to toe and has something to do with the liver. Anatomy 101—blood circulates throughout the entire body. All blood illnesses are head to toe and all blood diseases impact the liver.

- She then asks who is being tested for other illnesses? That's a very safe one to toss out as people are always being tested for something.

- She talks about the blow to the chest cause in death. It doesn’t pertain to those she reads for but it applies to those seated on the other side of the studio. Then it goes from a blow to the chest to her father died in front of her. The great message is don't feel bad about it! Who wouldn't feel bad about something like that?

Notice that Theresa Caputo has a string of misses and questionable hits so she decides to opt for humor to keep the viewer derailed and bring in the hosts for a laugh.

Theresa tosses out the question, who lost a daughter? No hits, so she jumps on to a brain aneurysm or Alzheimer’s [you don't die from that illness]. A male reacts but she rejects him. Nope, it's a young good-looking woman who takes advantage of the diseases beginning with the letter A. It's easier to bring a woman to tears than a man. This woman accepts everything sent her way, right up to the question "Do you have any of her clothing?" That's a fairly safe one to ask, knowing that you'll get a yes. But when the Long Island Medium starts to ask about recent deaths, it's a big miss and Theresa breaks it off.

So let’s break down this so-called certified medium readings down.  [Ms. Caputo has been certified by the Family Forever Foundation.]

1 Did she give us any names? No.
2 Dates? No.
3 Places? No.

We are left to ask this question--when people pass, do they get dumber? Do they lose the ability to communicate with us? Are they unable to speak clearly through mediums? If we go by what we see of the Long Island Medium, they can show up but are unable to say who they are, whom they are here to visit. The deceased person can't give their own name and the name of the loved one, not do they give a clear message.

People will always ask how can people like this do such things? Theresa Caputo is not unique in any way. She's just one more in a long list of flavors of the month/year when it comes to fake psychics. She's now in the company of The Amazing Kreskin, Uri Geller, Sylvia Browne, John Edwards, and James Van Praagh. Whether they claim to be mind readers, magicians, mentalists, or mediums they all have the same basic foundations.

1 They always claim that the gift came to them early in life. Theresa Brigandi [maiden name] states that her gift always sent her parents and brother into a crazy sort of ghost hunt. At times, it led to having her father climb onto the roof of their home looking for things with green scary eyes. This flies against what she now claims -- to have never seen anything evil looking.

2 They always claim that they did not really use their gift in life while they were children. Except as a way to entertain others.

3 Others always found them different.

4 They'll always find a mentor which in the case of Theresa, was Pat Longo, a Long Island medium herself. Mrs. Longo claims that she can heal you in person or over the phone for just $175. Here's her website: http://patlongo.net/

In bold letters on Mrs. Longo's website it says "…and in some God gave the gift of healing."

That is found in the bible: 1 Corinthians 12

But nowhere will you find the passage: "And some the gift of healing which you can charge $175."

Not to turn this into a Bible thumping blog, but the moment money is connected to anyone carrying out the gifts of the spirit, it stops being a genuine gift from God. The alleged gift of healing means that it's either outright fakery or a gift from someplace other than heaven.

In the May 26th episode, Why Me, we learn that Pat had to deal with cancer and she had an operation. She also mentions that her husband died from cancer five months ago. Why she did not turn to her faith for healing? From the new age viewpoint, cancer is caused by a negative spirit and/or negative energies being blocked at the chakra points. This isn't something we'd expect from a healer.

We don't know if Theresa went to Pat and was told that she was a medium or not. Or did she go to Pat and say you're making a killing in this line or work, teach me how you fake it. I'll take a look at the view that this so-called "spirit" they claim to talk to is a demonic one.

Additionally it seems that Pat feels she can teach anyone to do what Theresa claims to do. That means it is not really a "gift" at all but simply a trade like driving a truck or being a cook.

It seems her teaching days are over as of 6/15/13.

Further digging into the site leads us to a Wordpress blog made up of even more wacky new age teachings on topics that were taught in the new age world back in the 1980s.

But there was a blog that had an interesting title which lead us to a question to even more of her claims. This is written by a participant in one of Pat's healing sessions. The author writes about a mishmash of new age and eastern topics and describes herself as a sensitive soul.

7 Ways to raise your Vibration: according to Pat Longo, Long Island Theresa Caputo’s healer.

Pat apparently didn't tell TLC that she was a medium [have you ever heard of a psychic telling their client he/she is not psychic when asked?]. Anyway, she was/is Theresa's mentor as well as her healer. Therefore, the Long Island Medium endorses people that take part in illegal activates. Additionally, nowhere on the site is there any evidence of medical science certifying that she is really a healer.

Pat seems she know how to make a buck as she appeared on her student's show in the second episode of the past season. If you want to see the pair together in the Season 2 episode called Drumming and Healing, you can go to Amazon and see it for $1.99. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007ORWB86

This season, Theresa complained that her shoulder hurt. Did she go to her healer for that magic touch? No, she went to All-Star Physical Therapy. http://www.all-starpt.com/

Her brother is on the staff there and took care of her needs. http://www.all-starpt.com/about-us/staff

Guess she's afraid of making Pat Longo a big star…
