Issue 132 – Murder Bordello Parts 1-3 & Amityville Horror, Haunting in Connecticut & The Conjuring DEBUNKED

By Kirby Robinson

Doubtful News.com has now picked up the Murder Bordello story. We’ve been told that other websites will be issuing their reports on this whole scandalous affair.

Here are parts 1-3 of the Murder Bordello:

In the short history of our show, we’ve already brought into question the credibly of some well known psychic-mediums like Theresa Caputo and Sylvia Browne, and TV ministers like Jim Bakker and Cindy Jacobs. We’ve also shown the fakery of PRS [Paranormal Research Society] and the exorcist Andrew Calder.

Tonight we’ll go where few, if any, radio programs have ever gone. We’ll shine the spotlight on what most consider one of the most compelling cases of demonic and ghostly activity in recent history and the case has spawned numerous books, movies and TV specials. The case is the Amityville Horror/Haunting. In 1976, the world was gripped by the news coming out of Amityville, New York as the Lutz family fled from their home after living there for 28 days. They’d become victims of such severe demonic attacks the whole story could not be told. Noted ghost hunters and demon chasers Ed and Lorraine Warren became part of the story. Due to the popularity of The Exorcist, the public couldn’t get enough. The legend grew as countless movies and books came out. But the truth was buried and the lies were told to cover up the fact that nothing paranormal happened in the house.

The two other cases, The Haunting in Connecticut and The Conjuring, will probably be discussed next week due to the amount of material there is to cover.

Over the course of our 2 hours together, we’ll study as much information as we can. This is information that the supporters of these hoaxes DON’T want you to know.

Tune in learn the truth and make up your own mind.

Showtime begins at 7 PM [PST] or 10 PM [EST].  See this page for more information: http://www.goddiscussion.net/2013/08/24/amityville-haunting-in-connecticut-the-conjuring-debunked-wednesday-august-28-2013/

Issue 129 – Paranormal Potpourri

By Kirby Robinson

Listen to tonight’s radio show Jim Bakker & His Merry Band of Prophets Want World Dominion! [7 PST/ 10 EST]

Things are happening all over the paranormal field. Whether good, bad, or wacky, none of the news is too controversial for us.

Fake Book About a Fake Medium Disappears!

The so-called Theresa Caputo Diaries, written by a nonexistent author, is no longer on the Internet. The photos of Sir Ken Robinson that were being used to help perpetrate the scam are no longer being used on the fake website.

Even the ‘New England Review’ blog that posted a fake review about the fake book about that fake medium has vanished. This is a victory for the truth. But rest assured we have screen shots of the book in order to remind these people who tried to steal $49.98 from John Q. Public not to try it again. http://eyeontheparanormal.blogspot.com/p/fake-caputo-book.html

The Conjuring of Greed

Many of you might have noticed this link on my Facebook page

The Sutcliffe family has lived in the home for 25 years and is under siege from fans of the hit summer movie The Conjuring. Note that Norma Sutcliffe doesn’t think ghosts are real. In a phone call, she told me that nothing paranormal has ever happened in the home.

I talked about this on my radio show last week. The next day someone sent me season 2 episode 7 of Ghost Hunters. Guess what? Norma Sutcliffe is discussing a vibrating bed and more. Now, Mrs. Sutcliffe complains that because of The Conjuring, it’s very easy for people to find the house and disturb them. But in 2005 she was singing a different tune. On Google there’s an excerpt from the book Ghost Hunting: True Stories of Unexplained Phenomena from The Atlantic Paranormal Society. Go up to page 201 at the start of THE HOUSE WITH A HISTORY June 2005. Here’s the link http://tinyurl.com/luwgnjr

All this points in the direction of paranormal fakery. The Conjuring is the new Amityville Horror--a hoax that is still alive today.

Personally, I feel that the Sutcliffes are upset that they got no money from the studio and that’s why they’re complaining.

Bob Larson & His Sexy Female Exorcists are on the Loose Again!

I’ve blogged on this subject in the past and have spoken out against Bob Larson and his deceitful ways. Now, Bob and his girls are getting even more attention. Check out this clip with a very good background:

Less background, more footage

How Much Information did Roger LeRoy’s Paranormal Team Give the Klinge Brothers & Chip Coffey about Fake Murder Bordello?

It seems that no matter how much proof the mayor of Galena, Kansas and the investors of the fake site are given they keep ignoring it. All they see is green. We hear that Ghost Huntersmight be investigating the site. A movie about all the ghosts and demons in the house might be made. These ghosts and demons must have low IQ’s as they got the wrong address. When they attempt to pick up their paychecks for haunting the house, will it be there? LOL

How much information was fed to the Klinge Brothers and Chip Coffey [who was consulted by Eric Leven a producer on Paranormal State regularly on upcoming cases]? Did something happen at the fake bordello site? Mr. LeRoy posted this comment on Facebook

So today Most of my team Got to meet Chip Coffey It was a very fun Experience Especially for Katrina Hagen.

Roger has been very hyper about anyone suggesting that the house isn’t even the real site. He’s even saying things like “well the murders might not have taken place there but there is no proof that the murdering pimps didn’t consult or help out with the place.”

He even posted this:

So I propose this, We get with Russ and Brian, and we ask each founder from our local groups to hold a lock down at the bordello, and have KSN or Fox news follow us for about two hours or even and all night Investigation. and limit it to 6 founders.
Lauren Woodall, Diego Hinkle Kira Pfeifle. Dar Perry-Counts, Josh Shackles, Roger LeRoy And then get together with the news crew and review the evidence.

There are major issues here. First, you’d have to prove that any of the proof is real. This can only be done by people who aren’t involved in the paranormal field and don’t have a profit motive.  You’d have to prove the devices used are real and actually do what they’re supposed to do. Again, this would have to be conducted by a scientist who isn’t involved in the paranormal field and has no profit motive. Then, you’d have to prove that ghosts are real. Again, no one has ever done that. Finally, you’d have to prove that that house was the site of the murder bordello, which can’t be done. Even the owners have stated this.

Klinge Brothers Yank Away Welcome Mat to Ghost Hunters at Murder Bordello Open House

On the weekend of August 3-4, Galena, Kansas had a Route 66 Festival showing off its tourist attractions. The fake Murder Bordello sought to cash in by offering $10 tours. If you looked or talked like a ghost hunter, or smelled a lie, you weren’t welcome – and that included fans of the Eye on the Paranormal.

Those truth-seeking brothers seem to have lost their way and the only thing they’re interested in is getting that $525 a night ghost hunting fee.

- They claim from 300 to 400 people attended the open house but an onsite source [who was there for both days] informed us that 150-200 is more accurate.

- Roger LeRoy attempted to interview the Klinge Brothers in hopes of quieting the controversy and was told that if he’d wait a few minutes they’d be happy to be interviewed. An hour later, he was told that they’d left and couldn’t be interviewed. We surmise that the Golden Corral Buffet was loudly calling to them.

- A local ghost hunting team that in the past expressed displeasure in having to pay $525 to investigate the site were escorted from the house.

- Ghost hunters who knew the house wasn’t the Murder Bordello were ordered off the property.

- Some fans of the Eye on the Paranormal who mentioned where they learned of the controversy [right here!] were told the law was on its way.

Next week – more paranormal mayhem.

Issue 128 – The Murder Bordello, Part 3

By Kirby Robinson

Continued from:

Listen to tonight’s radio show Don’t Get Fooled by “Six” Again! [7 PST/ 10 EST]

NOW IN PAPERBACK!

There’s no blood in the Murder Bordello--but there is LOTS of ego

Our next project will be called NO BLOOD IN THIS BORDELLO: THE STORY OF A MODERN DAY PARANORMAL HOAX.

It’ll be an in depth look into the story of how a community bought into a false account concerning the Murder Bordello in Galena, Kansas. It’ll show how the para-celebrity community jumped on board for fame and profit.

The book will also look into the subject of paranormal ethics, or the lack of ethics, within the paranormal community. Watch for it this fall.

The Klinge Brothers Separate Legends from Historical Fact!

Galenas Murder Bordello
This is Brad Klinge from Discovery Channel's Ghost Lab. My brother and I have visited hundreds if not thousands of haunted locations coast to coast and border to border. We have interacted with real history first hand. We have been able to separate legends from historical fact, and by doing so we have found that most of the time legends are born from fact. We are good at what we do, and our reputation is impeccable. Our goal is to bridge the gap between legend and history—finding those important pieces of unwritten history that complete the puzzle. Museums run by state university systems around the country are currently building exhibits based on our work and research, so even the experts in the mainstream look up to us. The Galena Murder Bordello gained our attention a couple years ago when we first heard the stories surrounding it. But we have seen the same old thing time after time—a old building that has paranormal activity and a story is made up around the true haunting to make sense of it. It is human nature to try to create an ounce of logic to explain the unknown. But the bordello completely blew us away. We found through our own tedious research that the legends seem to point to the truth. You can’t discount over a hundred years of family histories telling each generation about the murderous bordello. Court documents, police records, and newspaper accounts from back in the day also support its stories. This is what interested us in the bordello so much. Finally, here is a place where legend and fact actually meet, and the paranormal evidence support both. We recently filmed a documentary at the bordello that will be released this fall. This is our story of the bordello based on what we found—both tangible and paranormal. Now the story is going to be told on an international stage. This story is more than just a bordello, more than just murders, more than just local politics, and more than just ghosts. It is about ALL of the activities that culminated in the town in such a short period of time that allowed an imprint to made on the environment. So ready or not, Galena and its bordello are about to have a world-wide spotlight on them, and rightfully so. Galena had an important part in the building of this country, and the vices and malice that came along with success are equally important lessons—not to mention it sits right on historic Route 66. Everyone will know the story. Be watching for an official press release on the documentary in a couple weeks and a trailer as well. Barry and I will be in Galena for the Route 66 Festival next weekend (August 2nd). I’m sure we will be by the bordello a time or two while we are there, so drop by and say hi.

So… we have to ask:

1 You claim that your reputation is impeccable. Then how can you explain the times that you’ve been caught faking scenes, making false claims, and multiple cases of fake EVP’s?

2 You claim to have investigated hundreds, if not thousands of haunted sites. How many times were you paid to hunt by the owners of the site?

When you were paid to ghost hunt, how many places did you find that weren’t haunted?

3 How many times did you run into demonic spirits? How did you get rid of such spirits?

4 Please list the names of these museums at the state run universities that are changing displays due to your findings.

5 Please list the names of these experts that are “looking up to you.”

6 Point out any valid historical proof that you found [that no one else has] that the house on Main Street is the Murder Bordello.

Why did you try to cover up the contact you had with Carolyn McLean who knows the truth that that house is not related to the murders?

7 If this research is so tedious, why mince words? Let people know you find research to be boring and monotonous?

8 You state that “legend and fact actually meet…” Is this the first time in your career this has happened?

Russ Keeler admits that there is no “REAL” proof that it’s the Murder Bordello but he has a lot of crap to back up his claims:

Note he says that there is NO proof [historical]. He doesn’t really address the proof [historical] that it isn’t in the house but he sure has a lot of paranormal proof.

What’s paranormal proof? Photos of ghosts? EVP’s [Electronic Voice Patterns]? They are the so-called voices of the dead responding to voices of the living.

Can this be proven to be true? No. If you listen to the majority EVPS, the voices barely manage to croak out a few words. Why can’t the dead speak in complete sentences? Do we suddenly lose our ability to speak when we die?

But we’re putting the cart first here…

1 You’d have to decide if ghosts are for real.

2 Are ghosts completely honest when they talk to us? Look at it from the ghost’s viewpoint. Would ghost hunters respond to a Joe the Plumber? Probably not. But a killer “madam” gets lots of attention.

3 What about the people who say that there are no ghosts--only angels and demons? I find it odd that few, if any, ghost hunters ever capture an angel, GOD or His Son Jesus Christ.

So if you get an EVP from a demon how can you be sure that it’s truthful?

As you can see, there is no real PARANORMAL PROOF that a serious historian will accept. What Russ Keeler, the Klinge Brothers, and others hope you only see is the word proof.

OTHERS ARE STARTING TO SEE THE LIGHT!

Issue 127 – The Murder Bordello, Part 2

By Kirby Robinson

Continued from Issue 126 The Murder Bordello, Part 1

Listen to tonight’s radio show Demonic Activity: Don’t Get Played by “Six” [7 PST/ 10 EST]

Fake Murder Bordello Case Makes Fools of Fake Para-celeb Squad

Sometimes it’s best to just admit you made a mistake, cut your losses, and move on. But it seems that many are caught up in Russ Keeler’s literal attempt to turn Galena, Kansas into a ghost [hunting] town for his ego and financial gain. Russ’s website, After Midnight Paranormal Investigations is down, and the Facebook page is inactive. Why? So he can spend time in Galena spreading lies and tall tales.

No page or website. It seems that when Mr. Keeler gets the scent of money and fame in his nostrils it drowns out his interest in the paranormal, outside of making a lot of money.

Chip Coffey Really Needs to Fire his Spirit Guides

We received the following posts that Coffey posted on his Facebook page concerning his days in the fake murder bordello:

~ Day 3 of filming with Barry Klinge, Brad Klinge and Selena Roane. It's about to get very real and intense on this investigation!

~ A very long, but productive, day of filming for our DVD. I think you all will be very pleased with it. We've already gotten some kick a$$ evidence! We finish up tomorrow, then I head home on Saturday.

~ The photo is of a professional actress who appears in reenactment scenes during the DVD that I filmed last week in Galena, Kansas, along with the Klinge Brothers and Selena Roane.
We investigated a haunted bordello and the actress was reenacting the role of the "madam" of the "house."

Last week we went “soft” on Mr. Coffey, as he’s just a hired hand on this shoot. Now we clearly see that he’s helping them spread the deception since it’s proven that the house on Main has nothing to do with a murder bordello.

Local ABC News Outlet in Galena Allows Fake Para-Celebrity to Lie

- Lisa Livingston Martin would sell more of her books if the deception goes unchecked. Being an author, she should know how to fact check. Her publisher should’ve done a much better job of fact checking.

But it’s even worse than that. She outright lied to the viewers. Before the interview, she was told that all the proof concerning the main house wasn’t real. No one ever talked about the house being the murder bordello. That is, until Russ Keeler came along.

- Brad Klinge claims they’re seeking paranormal proof and historical documentation. If so, why did he rebuff anything that would prove the house is the real deal? Why did he rebuff Carolyn McLean in a series of email exchanges between them? She informed him that she had proof concerning the fact that the Staffleback house burnt down in 1897. He sent her an email asking if she’d like to be interviewed for the documentary. Then he sent her an email telling her that they’d take it from here.

Not sure what “IT” is but am sure IT isn’t the truth.

Apparently, Chip knows there’s nothing there. His act from his Paranormal State days might not be enough to save the day, so he seems to be hedging his bets.

They can’t wait to make money off the place as Russ and his squad eagerly promote this:

Hey guys. The Murder Bordello is finally ready for overnight investigations. You can have up to 10 people at the Bordello for the same price AND you get 12 full hours (7PM to 7AM). Reservations begin for the Friday, August 16th date and go daily 7 days a week...365 days per year.

Shell out $500.00 plus $24.95 processing fee. http://galenamurderbordello.eventbrite.com/

For that amount of money, you can get a spacious guest room [for approx. 24 hours] at the Beverly Hills Hotel!

Here are the lies they are spreading about the fake murder bordello:

“In the late 1800's, the mining industry was in full swing in Galena, KS--and so was malice and vice. Brothels and saloons lined the crowded streets catering to the passing miners. One family saw opportunity and not only opened a bordello, but murdered many of its patrons for their money and dumped the bodies in mineshafts to make it look like an accident. It is rumored that up to 30 murders took place in the unassuming little building on the corner of Route 66. Miners and prostitutes alike are said to have met an untimely demise, but still haunt the location. People have witnessed apparitions, disembodied voices, objects moving, doors opening and closing, and all other types of activity that defies sensible thought. Could the murderous family still linger in its shadows, or is it the miners lost souls looking for peace? Either way, you can experience an entire night in the bordello seeking them on your very own. This is not a hotel stay. This is not a bed and breakfast. It's also not a theatrical haunted house. This is the real deal. This is a museum dedicated to the memory of a bygone era and the sinister history it imprinted on the small Southeastern Kansas town. The building has recently undergone full renovations to restore it to its infamous past, and tours run daily. But this is a unique experience. Reserve your overnight stay today.”

Is this bordering on criminal conspiracy?

I’m not a lawyer but it seems to me that there’s a conspiracy to defraud people by public officials, authors, various paranormal groups, wannabes and numerous others.

They know the house is fake. They’ve seen the proof, yet they’re working to keep the public from learning the truth. They’re selling the falsehoods for profit that they wouldn’t make if the public knew the truth.

So what does that sound like to you?

Next week read more about this story as we have a lot to expose. Here's The Murder Bordello, Part 3

Issue 126 – The Murder Bordello, Part 1

IS THE LONG ISLAND MEDIUM THE REAL DEAL? eBook is here! Check out my new book page.

Here's last night's show about Ghost Hunting & Paranormal Ethics. http://eyeontheparanormal.blogspot.com/p/radio-show-podcasts.html

SPECIAL REPORT

It's timely that I've done a radio program about Ghost Hunting & Paranormal Ethics. Of course, fake para-celebs never think the rules of proper conduct ever apply to them.

The story goes back a few weeks. I was looking for a story and came across a press release that concerned Ghost Lab's Brad and Barry Klinge and Chip Coffey teaming up for a new series. It promised to shock the viewer it as going to be scary but true.

Really? Turns out, it's not a TV series but will go direct to DVD. A real studio doesn't produce it. The Kling Brothers will handle the distribution, meaning they get all the money and don't worry about ratings, reviews, and being able to pass muster with the debunkers.

After a little digging, we found out why they chose this house and not the actual site. Because the original site is now a vacant lot. The house that stood there was burnt to the ground back in 1897 by the townspeople. Empty lots aren't too sexy.

As for the impending DVD program, Chip Coffey gets a pass on this one, as he's just the hired help like he was on Paranormal State. We can find no wrong in his actions unless he gets a psychic reading from an unhaunted home, something he's done in the past.

The final villain is Russ Keeler of After Midnight Paranormal Investigations, who charges big money for ghost hunters to go into an unhaunted house. Especially with a DVD coming out, there'll be a line of ghost hunters down the street ready to fork out money to go into the house, buy fake books, t-shirts, etc.

Now let’s begin the story.

If you happen to stop in the sleepy little town of Galena, Kansas you'll probably hear about the Murder Bordello, where locals claim as many as 50 people were killed during the 1890s

It was run by Ma Staffleback, her husband and two sons. Local miners, flush with earnings from working the mines, would go the house seeking some female companionship. Problem is, they also stood a chance of being rolled and killed. The Stafflebacks' took the adage "The family that kills together goes to jail together" to heart. All four were tried and convicted in 1897 for murdering Frank Galbraith. The story hung around and was local legend status. We jump ahead 100 plus years and like in the Merle Haggard song, people along the famed Route 66 wondered Are the Good Times Really Over?

The once proud highway has been in decline ever since the I-40 and other interstates and bypasses were built back in the 60s and 70s. Towns and communities are struggling to recapture the glory and the tourist bucks. A group of investors restored a gas station and turned it into a snack bar/gift shop known as 4 Women on the Route and the money began flowing in. Attention turned to a long dilapidated house on the corners of Main and Front Streets—right on Route 66.

Making it a bed and breakfast was tossed around, but that was too tame, as by now, the rumor mill had begun operating. People began to say that the house was none other than the Murder Bordello. Going through records, we couldn't find any claims that the house had ever been the site of such slaughter. Nor have we found any record of it being a haunted house. But, just as with the Amityville Horrorand the Haunting in Connecticut, the haunting train was starting to depart and this train didn't have a reverse gear.

The mayor jumps in saying the Bedside Book About Bad Girls: Outlaw Women of the American West, has inspired his interest--or was it tourist dollars? "The Joplin Globe" started to run stories about the house and its bloody history. Other local papers ran with the lurid tale. A story of murder, prostitution and a rumor of a cache of gold dust buried somewhere on the property sold papers during a time when the newspaper business is on its deathbed.

By this point, everyone was excited to have such a local treasure. It could be a much-needed local source of income.

Russ Keeler came along and convinced the property owners that if they spent thousands of dollars to renovate the property and bring in antique furniture, the home could look like it did 100 years ago.

If that was done, he could bring in thousands of dollars from ghost hunters, both groups and individuals, to come in overnight set up their equipment to collect evidence. He used the After Midnight presence within the paranormal field in order to sell the site to the paranormal community. You can really have that spotlight shine on you and your team if you get a TV para-celeb to come to the site. It's much even better if they feature it on their TV show.

If it's not on network or cable TV, that’s okay, due to the fact that what the networks are looking for has changed. Unless you can post cable ratings like the Long Island Medium, don't bother knocking. Many are going with direct to DVD projects pioneered by the Booth Brothers who have produced many such programs. A few years ago, Ryan Buell and Chad Calek did a documentary called American Ghost Hunter. You make all the money because there aren't producers or distributors to contend with. You also have lots of artistic freedom.

Chip Coffey had repeatedly tried to get back on TV and to follow up to his modestly successful book. He was happy to join the guys from Ghost Lab who'd been in talks with Keeler to be the first to investigate the Murder Bordello and sell it to the public.

However, the brothers from Ghost Lab are no stranger to credibility issues.

- They faked an EVP on a fake paranormal show. There was a claim something happened but no camera managed to pick it up.

They made much of the video of a shadow person in Tombstone, AZ. It was easily debunked within 5 minutes.

They went to Alcatraz, and got an EVP saying, "I can't forget what I have done." The only issue – the voice and accent happen to be the same as one of the brothers from Ghost Lab.

Their Lizzie Borden investigation is debunked.

So in a sense you had the perfect storm for paranormal fakes.

- Town needing tourist dollars

- Property owners willing to ignore paranormal deception

- A ghost hunter and team willing to bend the rules of ethics in order to get famous

- A former TV ghost hunting team knowing those 15 minutes of fame expired a while ago and just maybe a DVD series can buy them more time

- Former TV psychic who now works as a phone psychic looking to cut into Theresa Caputo's fame

- A public that buys paranormal claims without any facts

Fortunately, because of good people who stand up for the truth, even when it's not popular, we extend a big thanks to someone who cares, and that person is Carolyn McLean.

Her story starts next week. See it here: The Murder Bordello, Part 2
