Dalai Lama Quotes & Words of Wisdom

“All major religious traditions carry basically the same message, that is love, compassion and forgiveness the important thing is they should be part of our daily lives.”

“I believe that the very purpose of life is to be happy. From the very core of our being, we desire contentment. In my own limited experience I have found that the more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being. Cultivating a close, warmhearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. It helps remove whatever fears or insecurities we may have and gives us the strength to cope with any obstacles we encounter. It is the principal source of success in life. Since we are not solely material creatures, it is a mistake to place all our hopes for happiness on external development alone. The key is to develop inner peace.”

“Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”

“I believe that the very purpose of our life is to seek happiness. That is clear. Whether one believes in religion or not, whether one believes in this religion or that religion, we all are seeking something better in life. So, I think, the very motion of our life is towards happiness…”

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”

“If you have a particular faith or religion, that is good. But you can survive without it.”

“If you have a particular faith or religion, that is good. But you can survive without it.”

“As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery… we have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace. The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.”

“In the practice of tolerance, one’s enemy is the best teacher.”

“Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values.”

“It is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives. If we find we cannot help others, the least we can do is to desist from harming them.”

“All major religious traditions carry basically the same message, that is love, compassion and forgiveness … the important thing is they should be part of our daily lives.”

“It is very important to generate a good attitude, a good heart, as much as possible. From this, happiness in both the short term and the long term for both yourself and others will come.”

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”

“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.”

“We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.”

“My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.”

Deliverance SKYPE

By Evangelist Stephen Piersall, God’s Preservation Ministry

The world of communication technology has exploded over the past decades. The late “Gene Roddenberry” was way ahead of his time when you reflect on the original “Star Trek” TV shows. They had cell phones, and the ability to see whom they were speaking to on a viewing screen. Jesus used long-distance communication when he healed the child of the “The Syrophoenician Woman” Mark 7:24-37. Think about other present days distant driven church communications opportunities; Pastors, church prayer teams, your own personal pray list, etc.

When we created our web page for God’s Preservation Ministry http://www.sfprs.org/, we did not envision it becoming global. We have now reached people in many other countries worldwide, helping with our same basic theme of; Salvation, Deliverance, Healing, Christian counseling. We cannot minister to everyone in their homes, so thanks to modern computer technology; we use SKYPE.

When we start a deliverance session, we already have received consent form and questionnaire information giving us their background to work with. We talk about the case, pray and sometimes fast, and we want to make this all about God and the client. NOTE: You want to see your client the best you can, and for everyone’s safety, we ask that someone be with them. Never look the client directly in the eyes! Any demonic presence can use their powers against you if you just stare into the client’s eyes. You want to have all five senses available to determine what is going on, etc. ALWAYS pray prior to doing the session on your own asking for protection. When everyone is on SKYPE and ready to start, begin and end the session in prayer.

Mark 5:9 Jesus asked the demon his name, “Legion; we are many." "Many", this is true for all demonic presence. The Deliverance session can be several hours, and even then; you may not have all the demons expelled. Billy and I like to compare it to an onion, as in removing layer after layer. Many times several sessions have to be done to get completion.

Manifestations are actually slight and barely noticeable: eye twitches, yawning, narrowing of the eyes, coughing, etc. Occasionally they are more melodramatic: crying, yelling, and doubling over in pain or, in some cases, the demon will want to lash out physically! Consequently, the need to have someone present with the client is for everyone’s concern and safety. Each case is always different from others but there are similarities. It is of the utmost benefit to be prepared for what might happen when the power of God encounters these demonic strongholds.

Touching on the subject of Cleansings/Blessings, PLEASE do NOT attempt to do these until the Deliverance is fully complete. It is okay to bind any demonic spirits, but if the person is not a Christian, you first need to offer the opportunity of salvation. If they are Christian, and have not renounced any Legal Rights with evil through repentance with God you will be going home and leaving the family in circumstances that are more dangerous. Matthew 12:43-45--43 "Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it. 44 then it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came'; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. 45 then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation."

One thing we do that other Deliverance Ministries do not do is following up with the client. Sure, some may call a week later and that is it. We go into much more detail, with Healing and Christian counseling. We want to see and hear proof that they are praying and reading their Bible every day and have connected with a church. With the local church, that pastor can assist them in their everyday lives.

If you follow the recommendations given, you walk in the freedom Jesus paid such a dear price for you to have. Think of this, if Jesus was willing to suffer on the level, he did; he must truly desire you to be healed and delivered. 1 Peter 2:24 and Galatians 3:13-14. Christ's coming is near. Let us make sure we are righteous and ready for his appearing.

The Power of Prayer

By Kirby Robinson

I'm a firm believer of just talking to God, Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and all the heavenly saints. And if I feel an angel or two hanging around I'll talk to them. But there are times I drop to my knees and lay flat on my face to the Lord. There are times with my physical eyes I see no solution, with my physical body I feel there's no hope, nor is there anything that I can do. This is when I know it's time to turn to the Divine Forces.

Always remember that when you talk to God be sure you're not the one doing all the talking. It's a two way street. You talk, He listens, He talks, you listen. But be sure that you learn to quiet your soul to allow this to happen.

A powerful prayer life can't be without intercessory prayer. When you ask of God, talk to God, and join with the Spirit of the Lord. This often occurs to us when a person just happens to pop up into our mind and we begin to worry about that person. That's a signal to engage in intercessory prayer on that person's behalf.

A powerful prayer life must be based on a person living in faith, living by faith, and allowing your faith to increase. It can't be a faith that is strong in times of calm and easiness in life but weak in times of trouble. There are 4 great spiritual benefits for you engaging in prayer.

~1 Your understanding of the Divine Realms increase.
~2 Your inner strength to repel temptation increases.
~3 God will put you to use in the daily battle of good vs. evil in the spiritual realms.
~4 Our ability of spiritual discernment will grow with our prayer life. Because we develop an even greater understanding to appreciate our spiritual senses.

Heaven Help Us! Prayers for Every Occasion

We face uncertain times. Common folk are struggling with serious issues like unemployment, fear of losing their homes, and health issues. Let's focus on some prayers that will help people deal with their daily struggles.

Most of these prayers will be familiar to my Catholic friends, but you don't have to be a Catholic to recite them. You can do these throughout your hectic day or if you have a rosary you can work it along with the prayers. It's suggested you read them all, and for those who have employment and/or health issues, please scroll down.

Prayers to the Blessed Virgin Mary

It is said that when Mary is honored, her Son is duly acknowledged, loved and glorified, and His commandments are observed. To venerate Mary correctly means to acknowledge her Son, for she is the Mother of God. To love her means to love Jesus, for she is always the Mother of Jesus.

We Fly to Your Patronage

We fly to your patronage, O holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Mary, Mother of Grace
Mary, Mother of grace, Mother of mercy, shield me from the enemy and receive me at the hour of my death.

Holy Mary, Help the Helpless

Holy Mary, help the helpless, strengthen the fearful, comfort the sorrowful, pray for the people, plead for the clergy, intercede for all women consecrated to God; may all who keep your sacred commemoration experience the might of your assistance.

Remember, O Most Gracious Virgin Mary [The "Memorare"]

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Prayer for the Grace to Help Others

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, let me sow pardon. Where there is friction, let me sow union. Where there is error, let me sow truth. Where there is doubt, let me sow faith. Where there is despair, let me sow hope. Where there is darkness, let me sow light. Where there is sadness, let me sow joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. It is in dying that we are born to eternal life. [St. Francis of Assisi]

Prayer for Employment

Blessed Anthony, our intercessor in times of need, you gave yourself as a tireless worker in the vineyard of the Lord. By our labor we produce the things needed for human life. So our work is honorable and holy and makes perfect the work of God's creation.
Pray that I may find work which enhances my human dignity, draws me closer to God, and makes my life, as was yours, a real service to my fellow men.
Provide for me while I am in this trial of unemployment. I need your help, blessed friend. Come to my aid.

Prayer for the Restoration of Health

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I come to ask You for the gift of restored health that I may serve You more faithfully and love You more sincerely. I want to be well if it is Your will and redounds to Your glory.
If on the other hand it is Your will that my sickness continue, I want to bear it with patience. If in Your divine wisdom I am to be restored to health and strength, I will strive to show my gratitude by a constant and faithful service rendered to You, my loving Savior and Redeemer, and my God.

Prayer to God, the Source of Health

God our Father, source of all health, be near those who suffer in the time of weakness and pain; relieve them of their burden and heal them, if it be Your will.
Give peaceful sleep to those who need rest for soul and body, and be with them in their hours of silence. Bless those who know not what another day will bring.
Make them ready for whatever it may be. Whether they must stand, or sit or be confined, grant them a strong spirit.
Inspire with Your love those who bring healing and care to the suffering. May they bestow Your gifts of health and strength wherever they go. Grant this prayer, through Christ our Lord.

The Witches in the Cornfield

By V.K. Bronz

I was visiting a friend in another state having a relaxing time until nighttime came: Each night I dreamt someone was stabbing me in the stomach; it would wake me up with violent sharp pain. Knowing it had something to do with friends of mine and that it was witches that had gathered together to come against the church there:

I called my friends and relayed the dream; sure enough his wife had come under attack with stabbing pain all of a sudden out of the blue and the Drs. said it was nothing he could see. My friend said he had been praying and rebuking it to no avail; it would leave and then come back.

We prayed together, rebuking it in the name of Jesus, it left never to return.

There are many things out there that we do not understand; sometimes our pride gets in the way and we think we are it. But even Jesus disciples “after he gave them power” to heal the sick and cast out demons, could not cast out the demons of the young boy. When the father brought his son directly to Jesus, the Lord was a little miffed. But said something very revealing: He said, “This kind cometh out ONLY by prayer and fasting”.

You say what does that have to do with the witches and witches in the corn? Well I shared it to point out that there is power out there that is greater then us. We really need to be not so busy that we are not prayed up and have our time with the lord and time fasting. Even if you don’t believe in this manner you have to see that there is so much we do not understand and that is greater then us. Those witches that had gathered to attack the church believed and their prayers worked; at least for a while.

Until something stronger came along, the Name of Jesus! We can be prayed up and believing when something stronger comes along, is it stronger then the Name of Jesus? No it is stronger then us individually. When peter was jailed and the people gathered in the upper room Peter was mightily set free. The Angel came, took off the chains and led him out of the city.

We have to come out of the Me, and Mine, mentality and begin to pray for others with our whole heart. We have been to busy caring for our own selves and our situations to lift a finger to pray with our whole being for others.

Those witches believed and they came together with a purpose- to destroy the lives of the people of the church. The terrorists believe and they have a purpose, to destroy Gods people and take over the world. We were made by God to be a receiver. We were to receive his love his power his presence, all the messages round about us. We were made to see what we laughingly call the supernatural realm. There’s nothing super- natural about it; we were suppose to have this power. Even science has said we only use 8-10% of our brain; have you ever thought what the other 90-92% was for.

A few months after the stabbing incidence I was in the state of Maine when I began having dreams I was flying; It was quite cool I saw this neighborhood my cousins use to live in and I saw people walking at night on the sidewalk. I swooped down behind them and they didn’t know I was there. This went on for a few nights when I, received a phone call or made the call; can’t remember, from my friend with the stabbing problem.

He had been having the exact same experience. He was going to bed very excitedly because it was so fun. He couldn’t wait to fall asleep, when one night he was flying over the farmer’s field in the area he lived and there were people everywhere, hundreds, in the corn field. They began motioning for him to come down. Instantly he woke up crying, upset, and repenting, he felt he had somehow wronged God.

We are made to be receivers!!! I was “receiving” what he was going through and he was receiving what was going on in the town around him.

The Lord is so gracious; he always shows us the truth and what is happening: the next day when he went into town he ran into the Sheriff. The Sheriff said “hey did you hear about farmer so and so’s field? There was a very large gathering of witch covens the night before and there were so many we couldn’t arrest them”.

The Lord made sure this pastor knew he hadn’t done wrong and that God our Father was making sure he knew what was going on so he could pray!

I know and am greatly blessed in my knowledge of Christ being the great intercessor; that he intercedes for us continually but we are in him and also suppose to intercede for others; that is why the priest went into the Holy of Holies to intercede for others. Don’t forget who we are, we are Gods priests. If we stay in His word and in His presence filling our soul with him not TV or other people, or situations we will know what is going on around us and when the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, we will be prepared.

About five years ago I was given a work break from the Lord, in this time off I was able to spend a majority of the time with the Lord. One night as I was praying I had a vision; I saw the Lord on the cross, the earth was dark and the odd thing was I was like a ghost laying in him with my arm outstretched on the cross. All of a sudden at the point of his death I saw and felt the Light/life of God released from him like a tsunami wave and burst forth totally encircling the earth.

We need to remember we are in him, named by his name. We have been given power to cast out demons and heal the sick. Do we believe? Maybe our prayers have not been answered because we need to join with someone to pray with our whole heart for others. I don’t think we need to go in the farmers corn field, but then maybe we do…
