The Four Horseman Of The Apocalypse

Hello my para beauties! I trust you had a great day and are in good health. This is a subject I've been asked to explain to the best of my knowledge. The book of Revelations can be very intimidating. But we know who wins in the end.

The first Horseman is the rider of a white horse, carries a bow, and wears a crown. He is described as a conqueror. For this reason, he is sometimes interpreted as the Antichrist or as a false world leader. This Horseman is also sometimes called Pestilence.

The second Horseman is astride a red horse and carries a sword. He is associated with war and slaughter, and the Bible attributes to him the power to take away peace and to make men kill each other.

The third Horseman rides a black horse and carries scales. This Horseman, popularly called Famine, is thought to represent not only scarcity of food, but also the strict rationing or unfair allocation of goods and the exploitation of the poor.

The last of the Four Horsemen, Death, rides a "pale horse" of a sickly hue and is followed by Hades, or Hell.

The nature of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is hotly debated by theologians and Christians, but they are almost universally fascinating, regardless or perhaps because of their mystery. They were popular subjects for art during the medieval period and the Renaissance, and references to them continue to crop up in popular culture in our own day and age. Whether or not Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death are the correct interpretations of the Biblical Four Horsemen -- which will likely remain in debate for the foreseeable future -- it is safe to assume that that is what they represent in a cultural or literary context.

In many opinions The book of Revelation in the Bible is real and does not need one to read the hidden truths. When it says Jesus Christ is coming back again it means Jesus Christ is coming back again. When it says the Horsemen it means exactly that.

Since Christ is the One opening these seals and revealing what will happen in this world prior to His return, is there anywhere else in the Bible that He discloses these events? In fact, He did so shortly before His death in a section known as the Olivet Prophecy (given on the Mount of Olives), recorded in the Gospels of Matthew (chapter 24), Mark (chapter 13) and Luke (chapter 21) Seeing what Christ said in this prophecy helps us identify what each of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse represents.

In Matthew 24:3 Christ’s disciples asked, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” In the comparison chart below, notice how Christ’s answer lines up exactly with what He gave years later in the book of Revelation through the apostle John.

Notice the enormous effect of these first four seals (horsemen) in Revelation 6:8: “And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.” This indicates that the first four seals will ultimately result in a death toll of one-fourth the earth’s population. This summary statement also adds something else that will contribute to the death toll—beasts of the earth, which kill as carriers of pestilence and as ravenous predators.

The first four seals are clearly already open in our day now, and the four horsemen of the Apocalypse have been riding through the years, taking their toll on populations. But many other prophecies in the Bible show that their destruction will multiply greatly as the next seal—the fifth seal or Great Tribulation—is about to open. Christ reveals that this world is about to undergo great devastation due to the rebellion of humanity against our Creator.

May God Help us All.

Babylon the Harlot, Part 5

Continued from:

This clears the way for Antichrist to fulfill the lifetime dream of Satan to get people to worship him. She is destroyed in the middle of the Tribulation. Then Babylon the governmental system will be destroyed at the end of Tribulation, when commercial Babylon is destroyed (Rev. 18).

With "Mystery Babylon the Mother of Prostitutes" out of the way, "all inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast, all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world". (Rev. 13 v. 8).

Religious Babylon Destroyed - Archaeologists tell us that Babylon is the cradle of civilization. Located on the shores of the Euphrates River, the ruins of this city have revealed some of the most ancient documents of past generations. This city begun by Nimrod, who was a rebel before the Lord, authored some of the greatest evils ever to fall on humankind. Two of these evils will be destroyed during the Tribulation period, according to Rev. 17, 18.

In ancient days Satan seemed to make Babylon the capital of this evil operation. From this headquarters was started false religion, humanity's attempt for self government in defiance of God's will and city dwellings for commercial and social purposes contrary to God's command to "be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth." (Gen. 1 v.28) These great evils, which have damned the souls of millions by substituting counterfeit solutions to natural human problems that would ordinarily lead a person to God, will all be destroyed at the end of the Tribulation period.

Chapter 17 describes the judgment of God on the religious system that has enslaved the human race in superstitious darkness for centuries.

You see, all are subject to God whether they are following the beast or God. Even the devil has to do exactly what God tells him to do. Some of this has happened to fulfill God's word. The devil is not only subject to God, but he is subject to us, as well, through the mighty name of Jesus. We may dismiss the devil, just as Jesus did. The only difference was that Jesus used His own power, and we have no power of our own. We do it in the name of Jesus. It is Jesus' power.

17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
Many have taken this to mean that the woman represents the capital city of Antichrist's kingdom, but his cannot be, for Antichrist himself rules over the kings of the earth.

If then, the woman is not the Antichrist, what other possible explanation can we have for such unanimous world dominance? The only answer is the one system before which all kings, dictators, and nations have been forced to bow down throughout history, that is, the Babylonian religion of idolatry. One cannot go anywhere in the world without being confronted with some semblance of the idolatry.

No system in the world's history has enslaved more people than this awful religion. It should not take us by surprise that this prostitute woman, the religious system, is referred to as a city. When used symbolically, a woman is always intended throughout the Scripture to signify a spiritual or religious movement. If a good woman, it is "Jehovah's wife" or "the bride of Christ". If an evil woman, such as "a prostitute," it represents the evil religious system of idolatry.

Here we see again, Rome. In its heyday Rome was thought of as the capital of the world. They truly did reign over all of Europe.

We conclude, then, that chapter 17 describes the destruction of the religious system, whereas chapter 18 denotes the destruction of "Satan's seat," the commercial and governmental city of Babylon, marking the prelude to the consummation of the Tribulation.

No longer does the seer John have the ecclesiastical religious system in view but now turns the spotlight of God's judgment on the commercial and governmental systems that originated there. Babylon has had the most harmful effect on mankind of all the cities of the world. For all idolatrous religion, greed-based commerce, and secular government were begun there. At the end of the Tribulation, God will destroy them all in the seventh or last vial judgment in fulfillment of the prophecy in Isaiah 47:1 - 9 (Isaiah 21:9).

This is the best I can do using my words, the bible and my opinion which will vary to many. This is the best verses on this subject matter in my opinion tht can explain what Babylon is and I will go into more detail of what the "Whore Of Babylon Means" I have provided the best verses I could find and refresh my memory to touch on this topic. These events will happen and THEY WILL come to pass. Please be ready. Study what I have provided yourself. See what the Lord shows you.

What Happens During and Before Armageddon and End Times?

Hello my para beauties! I trust you had a amazing weekend and those you love are healthy. I've been asked more to touch on this subject which can get a bit dicey. This is my opinion and interpretation of what I read in the Gospel. So here we go....

Acts 4:12
Those that say the Book of Revelation has already happened base it on the assumption that Nero is the Anti-Christ and the mark of the beast (666) is representative of his name. The problem with that. The first verse of the first chapter " The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants WHAT MUST SOON TAKE PLACE. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John" (Revelation 1:1) This is not a history lesson, but a prophecy. Then there are those who will assume "soon take place" to mean immediately, but the whole book is not an immediate. There are some things that began at that point, and other things that will have to happen at a later date "After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this." (Revelation 4:1) There are a lot things from that point on that have not happened. The tribulation has not occurred, and Jesus has not returned.

THE EARTH SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE WILL BECOME A GARDEN OF EDEN OR PARADISE WHERE PEOPLE CAN LIVE IN PEACE & SECURITY.

ARMAGEDDON IS SIMPLY GODS WAR TO CLEAN THE EARTH OF WICKED PEOPLE & ALL BAD THINGS THAT EXIST, & PEOPLE WHOSE WORSHIP IS UNACCEPTABLE TO HIM.

Why, though, would God wage a global war? Armageddon is closely related to one of his cardinal qualities, justice. The Bible declares: “God is a lover of justice.” He has seen all the acts of injustice perpetrated during man’s history. This naturally provokes his righteous displeasure. Thus, he has appointed his Son to wage a just war in order to do away with this entire wicked system.

Only God is capable of waging a truly just and truly selective war during which righthearted individuals on earth, will be preserved. And only Almighty God has the right to impose his sovereignty over all the earth, for it is his creation.

What happens to those that survive? No one needs to perish during Armageddon. The apostle Peter observed: “God, does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.” And the apostle Paul stated that God’s “will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.”

Consider the good Har–Magedon promises to achieve, godly humanity’s peaceful future on this planet, no more pollution, no more war, no more poverty, no more disease or even death. God promises: “Look! I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:3,4

The one's living in a Paradise Earth will be the survivors of Armageddon, and the one's that will be resurrected & obey the rules that are layed out by Jesus Christ.

Psalms 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. King James Bible

[The Antichrist Covenant Week of 7 Years]

· [21] The Antichrist, also known as the king of the north and the little horn of Daniel—a Syrian and initially a man of peace executes a 7-year treaty with Israel in fulfillment of Daniel 9:27 (see also Dan. 8:23-25; Dan. 11:6, Dan. 11:11-16, Dan. 11:21-24; c/p. 1 Maccabees 1:29). This begins The Antichrist Covenant week of years. God's prophetic clock is turned on, as it has been turned off since the resurrection of Jesus and day of Pentecost. The last 7 years of the age or dispensation of grace has begun (Eph. 3:2).

[For an understanding of the distinctions between Daniel’s 70th week of years and the Antichrist Covenant week of years, please review Prophecy of the Seventy Weeks, and the accompanying notes on Daniel 9:24-27.]

[22,23,24 and 25] Jesus opens the first 5 seals of Revelation during the first 3 ½ years of The Antichrist Covenant week (Dan. 9:24-27; Rev. 6:1-11).

1.5 billion [more] people die from: war, famine, plagues and the beasts of the earth [hungry because of the famine (Rev. 6:7-8)].

False Christs [false Messiahs claiming to be anointed] shall arise. There will be wars, rumors of wars, nation against nation [ethnic group against ethnic group] , kingdom against kingdom, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places. Jewish Christians shall be called on the carpet for their faith because of the now restored Law of Moses in Israel, which is at peace with the Antichrist, killed, and shall become the most hated people on the earth for sake of the name of Jesus. The Jewish Church [especially] shall be plagued with offense, betrayal and hatred; false prophets shall arise and deceive many; sin shall run rampant and the love of many shall wax cold (Matt. 24:5-12; c/p. 2 Thes. 2:3; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; 1 Tim. 4:1-3; 2 Pet. 3:3-4; 1 John 2:18-22; 4:1-3; Jude 3-4; 11-19)

The great falling away in the Church at large prophesied in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 gains momentum, as many Christians become offended at God when widespread persecution and killing of Christians increases, and the Church is not Raptured [caught away] before these things begin [see Two Prerequisites for the Rapture from The Thessalonian Letters In Verse Outline; see also The Offended Prophet from Seven Prophetic Pictures of the Rapture for an example of what can happen to God's people when they allow offense to take hold of their life].

· Mystery Babylon of the revised Roman Empire—its religious harlot—secures a lock hold on at least 10 of the governments of the old Roman Empire (Rev. 17) [See Rev. 17:9-10, The Book of Revelation In Verse-By-Verse Outline; see also Endnote #28 and 29 on Revelation 17:18, The Chronological Revelation ].

· The gospel of the kingdom is preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then the end comes (Matt. 24:14). [Just as happened in the Book of Acts, it is persecution of the Church that causes the gospel to be fully preached in all the world (c/p. Acts 8:1-4)].

· The Church began as a Jewish church on the day of Pentecost. There will be a latter day ingathering harvest of Jews back into the Body of Christ before the return of Jesus (Exo. 23:14-16, Rev. 6:9-11; c/p. Matt.20:16).

· The great prostituting whore city of the revised Roman Empire—Mystery Babylon—is destroyed by the 10-horn confederacy of revised Roman nations (see Rev. 17:16, The Book of Revelation In Verse-By-Verse Outline). The 10 horn / kings of revised Rome then give their power, strength and kingdom to the Antichrist. The revived Grecian Empire is thus formed (see Rev. 17:10-11, The Book of Revelation In Verse-By-Verse Outline). [See also, The Mystery of Mystery Babylon Revealed,]

The Rapture of the Church at Midweek

· Between the 5th and 6th seals of Revelation the Church is raptured; it is seen for the first time in heaven in Revelation 7:9, having been "snatched out" of the earth during the great tribulation [literally, the tribulation, the great: the first 3 ½ years of The Antichrist Covenant week]: caught up to meet the Lord in the air (Rev. 7:14; 1 Thes. 4:15-17. See also The Midst of the Feast, and The Body of Christ from Seven Prophetic Pictures of the Rapture).

· Jesus opens the 6th seal: all creation praises the Lord. The rocks cry out! (Luke 19:40; Rom. 8:19-21). All men remaining on the earth know the wrath of God has come—because they can't find any Christians! [see Rev. 6:12-17, The Book of Revelation In Verse-By-Verse Outline ]

I hope I've helped the best I can using biblical text explaining this subject per request of many. It's a lot to take in but we know who wins this battle and we praise his Holy Name. God is in control! We have nothing to fear. Obama or any world issues with any president. God is in control. Not man.

The Seven Trumpets

I’ve had a few supporters and friends ask about the “7 Seals/Trumpets” and if it is a real biblical event to come. This was provoked  due to watching the TV show Supernatural. Below are small explanations and or info on the matter broken down by each trumpet. This is a cue for the Apocalypse  to begin after or shortly after I believe. The book of Revelations is the 66 book in the bible but I personally don’t know if that has any relations to the number 666.

Associated with this wrath, seven angels appeared before John with seven trumpets. One by one, each angel sounded his trumpet. And as each trumpet sounded, it brought the plagues of the anger of God and the Lamb. Spiritually, this wrath of God began long ago and has continued up to the present day. It is still continuing and will rise to a crescendo at the apex of the reign of the beast who is still to come. And when it does, All these events will become physical, proving once again that in God all things go in pairs by opposites.

The first angel blew his trumpet and as soon as the mysterious notes sounded, hail and fire, mixed with blood, were dropped on the earth; a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of all trees, and every blade of grass was burnt. See Rev. 8:7

In reading these visions, remember that two fulfillments are always involved. One is spiritual, the other is literal. As these trumpets sound, spiritual warfare, catastrophe and violence sweep the earth, taking away the peace from a third of its people. At the very end, John's spiritual visions will invert and become physical -- providing a literal reality to his words. This is true of all the visions listed in the Book of Revelation's pages. In most cases, only the spiritual parts of these visions are explored. Their final physical realites are self-explanatory.

The second angel blew his trumpet, and it was as though a great mountain, all on fire, had been dropped into the sea; a third of the sea turned into blood, a third of all the living things in the sea were killed, and a third of the all ships were destroyed. See Rev. 8:8

The sea is the people. It is also the universe -- the lower waters. The mountain of fire is rage and the hatred which drives it.

The third angel blew his trumpet, and a huge star fell from the sky, burning like a ball of fire, and it fell on a third of all rivers and springs. This was the star called Wormwood, and a third of all water on earth turned bitter with wormwood, so that a great many people died from drinking it. See Rev. 8:10

Out of the rage come philosophies of anger which seduce the mind and hypnotise the wicked into committing terrible sins. We have witnessed this in the teachings of Marx, Trotsky and Lenin and the raving philosophies of human extermination that flowed from the writings of Adolph Hitler. More of this antichrist wormwood is now stirring up a great violence in the Middle East.

Jesus told His disciples, "I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning." (Luke 10:18). The draconic source of the world's wormwood is made clear in this passage.

The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of the stars were struck, so that the light went out of a third of them and for a third of the day there was no illumination. The same was true of the night.

The Gospel will be banned. The Bible will be declared outlaw and burned. The churches of Christ will be expelled and the borders of the dragon's lands, a third of the earth, will be sealed to prevent the message of Christ's salvation from coming in.

John heared the sound of an eagle calling aloud as it flew high over his head, 'Trouble, trouble, trouble, for all the people on earth at the sound of the other three trumpets which the three angels are going to blow." See Rev. 8:12

When the fifth angel blew his trumpet, the first of the three great troubles heralded by this eagle came to pass.

John, in his vision, saw a star that had fallen from heaven on to the earth, and this fallen star was given the key to the shaft leading down to the Abyss. When he unlocked the shaft of the Abyss, smoke poured up out of the Abyss like the smoke from a massive furnace so that the sun and the sky were darkened by it. Out of the smoke dropped locusts which were given the powers that scorpions have on earth: they were forbidden to harm any fields or crops or trees and told only to attack the wicked -- those who were without God's seal on their foreheads. See Rev. 9:1

Here is a  reference to the mark of God and baptism in Christ. Anyone who has been baptized will be made immune to the troubles that flow from the trumpet of the fifth angel. This is a key argument in favor of infant baptism. The infants in Egypt whose houses had been washed in the blood of the paschal lamb were spared the ravages of the Avenger at the time of the Exodus. For more on this, refer to Chapter 13 of the 'Clock of God'. This vision in John's sequence initiates the 'three great troubles' which terminate the final moments of the millennium and which precede the arrival of the day of Armageddon.

The locusts which descend on the earth from the smoke pouring out of the Abyss had as their emperor, the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is 'Abaddon', or 'Apollyon' (the destroyer) in Greek. That was the first of the troubles; there are still two more to come. We will see further on that when the shaft leading to this Abyss is unlocked, accompanying all this smoke will be the re-emergence of the dragon who Christ had kept locked there throughout the millennium. Freed, he will come up in fury and mobilize all the nations for war.

When the sixth angel blows his trumpet, the second trouble will begin to occur. John heard a voice come out of the four horns of the golden altar in front of God. It spoke to the sixth angel with the trumpet, and said, 'Release the four angels that are chained up at the great river Euphrates'. These four angels had been put there for this specific moment in time, and now they are to be released to destroy a third of the human race. John was told that this army measured twice ten thousand times ten thousand mounted men. This is the fourth Persian empire, the beast with iron teeth that Daniel spoke about, and it will hurl at the West a huge force. See Rev. 9:13

As this massive army began to build, seven thunderclaps were heard to speak, (see Rev. 10:4) but the angel forbid John from revealing their words. These thunderclaps are words of prophesy, but they are reserved for the final age, and so their messages cannot be revealed until their own time has come. The words that these thunderclaps have been instructed to blare out are already beginning to sound and be heard -- but they are muffled by distance, so few are paying attention. It is certain that one of these thunderclaps was Lucia de los Santos of Fatima whose three prophecies pointing to the imminence of the end times captivated the entire Christian world for several decades, but faded quickly from sight at the very heighth of its fulfillment, blanketed by the elders and disinterest.

Please remember this is how I perceive things when doing my blogs. Just my humble opinion and I have a right to that despite my religious faith is Jesus. I don’t have a denomination as they divide people. Please stop putting me on a pedestal that I must adhere to if I choose not to hide my faith. NO WHERE does it say you have to be free of sin to do what I do. I became Ordained ONLY to further and support my studies. I am not nor will be in any leadership like my father Rev. Auld. I have a past with mistakes. So? Last time I checked Christ didn’t die on the cross of Calvary in vain.

Thank you again for reading my wee little blogs and the kind comments. Feel free to comment and discuss. You can disagree, it’s fine. I wont however, tolerate any type of bullying. Debating in a civil manner is just fine.I also take prayer requests that my fellow friend and Pastor prays over daily. If you are in need of help or have any questions that is ok too.

I also do Skype meetings for people who would like me to explain the possible dangers Demon/Ghost Hunting to they’re teams. No charge of course, but if anyone would like that service please let me know and we’ll set up a time that works for you. Just give me 2 days notice.

Have a fabulous week and get ready for next Sunday as I go over each signs of the Plague as presented in the Bible. Red Rivers, Locus etc.......Until then have a fabulous we my friends.

Observations on the State of the Paranormal Community – Part 2: The Investigations

By Reverend Mark Hunnemann

With the New Year I feel compelled to ask: what is the state of the paranormal community? Before I respond, let me say that I consider myself part of the paranormal community (though I prefer to call it supernatural), and I care for these folks. I am not an outsider throwing rocks; rather I am inside trying, in my weak and stumbling way, to change people’s minds through reasoned persuasion. ..praying that honest seekers for truth will listen.

I whittled it down to two issues—what is happening to the investigators and what is happening regarding theinvestigations. In this section we will deal with the latter…my analysis of the investigators is in Part!

Are investigations yielding accurate identification of the underlying cause of the paranormal activity? With the currentmethodologies being used, are they able to identify spirit entities? Are they helping the client with their investigations and recommendations? (Note that Q.1 & 3 are inextricably bound together) Those are the main issues I wish to explore.

I have stated before that the paranormal community is a plausibility structure—a sociological term denoting a group which provides a safe environment to assume certain beliefs are plausible, which outsiders may consider implausible. For example, it is easy to believe in trapped human spirits when around those who are like-minded. However, it can also lead to an uncritical acceptance of basic assumptions deeply held within the paranormal community. In fact, within a plausibility structure, any questioning of basic assumptions may be met with resistance. May I suggest that there is nothing wrong, and everything right, about a particular group like the paranormal community (or a church) that makes people feel safe in their quest for truth? However, when basic assumptions regarding ghost theory become “off-limits” to scrutiny, then that discourages honest seeking of truth. That is when a plausibility structure becomes a hindrance, and not a help, in discovering the truth. It certainly is not scientific, inductive reasoning.

Recently, I read a thread on Facebook which was discussing Josh Gates and the Destination Truthcrew in which they were returning to a “haunted” forest where their camera man had been violently thrown during the first investigation. The main issue they were debating was what kind of spirit had tossed the camera man? After some discussion, the person who started the thread (who leads an investigative group) stated, “I think they were elementals (a form of nature spirit) which that group had provoked too harshly…but we will never know definitively until we die.” (Italics added)

BINGO!  Identity agnosticism—not just with this situation, but we are UNABLE TO DEFINITIVELY IDENTIFY ANY SPIRIT BEINGS!  I applaud her honesty, but there are many who will disagree and say that they are able to definitively identify the spirit beings they encounter. As I hope to show, their optimism is inconsistent with their presuppositions. ;
Why? Because (and this is key) identification of supernatural entities is not a paranormal, intuitive, or scientific issue, but a theological issue. As a Christian, this should be a given, but let me buttress my point.

All the latest scientific instrumentation can only document/verify a supernatural presence, but it CANNOT classify them (more below).

This identity agnosticism is a consequence of choosing speculation as the intellectual starting point for studying the supernatural instead of revelation. SPECULATION VERSUS REVELATION   When it comes to studying the supernatural, there are only two options for our source of truth—the vain, autonomous (not subject to God’s law) speculation of man, or the humble reliance on revelation (the bible). The monolithic consensus in the paranormal community is speculation; man, along with instruments and subjective feelings, can determine whether a being is demonic or not, human or not, intelligent or not, benign or not, positive or not, and so on. In other words, man is the measure of all things paranormal…that is not a neutral mindset—it is a religion of pride in opposition to God’s revealed truth ( Prov.1:7)

Remember that the success or failure of all investigations, and whether we help or hurt people, hinges on accurate identification of the spirit beings causing the problems. Can a medical doctor help someone if they misdiagnose the identity of the disease?

Remember also what we have said over and over; all of the various means by which investigations seek spirit communication are actually making the condition worse for the client. Just from that one point, we can deduce that investigations are doing more harm than good.

Since demons can mimic virtually anything or anyone (angel of light principle, 2 Cor. 11:14), and rule the psychic airwaves, then it is impossible to construct a set of accurate criteria that will definitively classify these beings into certain categories; psychics and mediums are puppets in the hands of the dark psychic masters. This includes the ability to project into you a sense of positive energy and human goodness—which regularly fools the most sensitive of people. However, how many times have I heard a professing Christian say, “I sense that this entity is positive.” A thousand times NO! The angel of light principle includes the ability to project any ambiance they so desire, including the sensation that all evil has left, or that pure evil is sweet and holy; or project into the medium’s and psychic’s minds a whole string of false data and images. Why are Christians using psychics and mediums anyway, when we saw last time how strongly the bible condemns their activity?

We must subordinate our sensations—all of our subjective states, including claims of discernment-- to the word of God.  It seems to me that most Christians who believe in trapped spirits do so primarily on the persuasiveness and intensity of sensations they feel regarding particular entity/entities. Subjective feelings are just feelings, and are subject to demonic influence—subjective states are trumped by God’s explicit commands (Deut.18:9-14). We need to operate with the conviction of Sola Scriptura. Scripture alone has come under attack in a thousand different ways in the neo-gnostic milieu in which we live. When I was in seminary a woman was asked why she was pursuing the pastorate when she knew the bible forbade women from doing so. Her answer was instructive: she affirmed the authority of the bible, but said she had an inner call from God which trumped what the bible said! The Holy Spirit, who inspired the bible and also calls people to ministry, does not speak out of both sides of His mouth.

Consider my Christian Facebook friend who made the elemental observation, but added the proviso that we won’t know for sure until we die. Why was she admitting identity agnosticism? I am not sure, but my hunch is that she is well aware of the fact that there is no way to haul that entity into the lab and scientifically analyze it. However, that is true of all supernatural entities—even the most rigorous investigation is miles away from approximating the testing procedures used in scientific experiments in the natural realm. The scientific method is inadequate when it comes to definitively identifying entities in the supernatural realm. A moment’s communion with common sense should reveal that science is INCAPABLE of classifying supernatural spirits.

Our three questions were: 1.Are investigations accurately identifying the beings causing the problems? 2. Are they able to with current methodology? 3. And are the investigations helping people? We have demonstrated that the paranormal community is habitually misdiagnosing the spiritual disease, and that they are unable to correctly diagnose with current investigative assumptions. Therefore…Based on 1 & 2, then we must sadly conclude that the vast majority of investigations are not helping people. Furthermore, investigations generally hurt people—both temporally and eternally. Sincewe always misdiagnose when we introduce trapped spirits or residuals (or other unbiblical categories of beings), then how can we give wise counsel at the reveal? How can we give sound advice when we do not have a clue as to what is “haunting” the house? What?! Peacefully co-exist with pure evil that is bent on our destruction? At least before the investigation, the client felt a legitimate concern—but when given false assurance from us, the guard is let down, and the demonic is often unwittingly embraced.  In 2013, the current condition of both investigators and investigations is sobering, and it is getting worse every day. Paranormal investigations are probably the main vehicle through which the evil genius is releasing and amassing his infernal army for the final assault. Please do not retreat into the cozy confines of a plausibility structure—have the courage and compassion to think through these basic assumptions for yourself.  We owe it to God and to the client to let the truth prevail…or the lawsuits will begin in earnest because of our gross negligence. Sola scriptura and soli deo Gloria!
