Happy Turkey Day & Theresa Caputo's Book is Stuffed with Turkey Crap

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Just a reminder, there is no radio show tonight. Also, our regular bloggers Lisa Grace, Mark Hunneman, and Stephen Piersall won't have blogs for us due to the holiday weekend.

I reviewed a copy of Theresa Caputo's book There's More to Life Than This: Healing Messages, Remarkable Stories, and Insight About the Other Side from the Long Island Medium. Aside from the endless and meaningless title, was it as bad as I thought it would be? Yes.

I was a part of the new age in the 1980s and worked as a psychic-medium for several years, so I think I'm in a position to offer a unique perspective of Theresa Caputo's book. I'd like to point out it was also written by her teacher, Pat Longo. Kristina Grish, the credited co-author, was brought in to make sure the manuscript got that Long Island phraseology.

Just like Caputo's reality show, the book is nothing more than a scam to suck in the sad and the hurting. Theresa and Pat make grandiose claims yet offer no proof that any of these claims are real--because they can't. This book consists of catch phrases popular within the new age movement. "Everyone has intuition!" "Everyone can communicate with spirit!" Theresa should feel guilty for referring to herself as a "good Catholic girl" as the content of the book is 100% contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church. Two examples: Catholics don't believe in reincarnation, and they don't believe in consulting mediums. Nor would anyone with any genuine wisdom and insight choose to plunk down hundreds of dollars [and wait for months or even years] to consult a medium. Especially when God and Jesus Christ don't charge any money and are always there.

The biggest problem with this fantasy book is the gullible readers who believe what this Long Island housewife says. What happens when they die and come to find out that the life Theresa and Pat rhapsodized about on the Other Side is a lie? Sadly, it's too late to ask for a refund.

Bad Bad Thing Award Goes to Chip Coffey

Psychic-Medium Chip Coffey fails to get into the pockets of the American public. That’s a good thing. However,  no one is reporting it – and that’s what makes it a bad bad thing.

A few weeks ago both me and my pals over at Scifake.com warned the public about Chip Coffey trying to get others [that means you] to pay for his production costs for a spec TV pilot--Haunted Ghost Tours Investigated.

The amount they needed was $17,000. No, your donation would never entitle you to any of the profits if the show was picked up, because that would remain with Chip and his buddies.

Chip was very excited about the project and touted it on his Facebook page. It seems that either the public is starting realize that something is afoot or the public is not holding its breath to see  Chip on TV anymore. Chip fell far short of the stated goal and only raised $1,190.00.

We’re guessing that the Long Island Medium doesn’t have to resort to this method to raise money.

Cathy Roller Must Think She’s Sylvia Brown or Chip Coffey. Roller Caught Making Claims That Can’t Be Backed Up!

After our expose on Supernatural Sisters a/k/a Super Silly Sisterslast week and a look at the viewership, not too many people watched the show. We got the normal blowback from the psychic defense league, which must be made up of all non-psychics, as they should’ve known we had more to say on this topic.

We stumbled onto this 2006 website built by Cathy Roller and the same data was shared on the Psychic Connection website. Both will be used to expose some deceptive actions.

Cathy states:

From the beginning of time, some people have been born with the gift that is known as the second sight, the third eye, or the sixth-sense powers that bypass usual sensory channels of the mind and transcend mundane reality into the psychic visions and messages. 

I am one of those gifted people.

There’s more, but you get the drift. Notice how she’s attempting to set herself apart from the average Joe. No proof ever offered about her claims. She fails to address the issue that God warns us away from those who make these claims. The gifts that Cathy Roller claims to have don’t come from God but from the forces of darkness.

- The photo of Cathy has to be from the 1990’s.

Cathy claims that she has appeared on TV/Shows throughout the nation yet we can find no evidence of this. If she’s been on public access TV, which is likely, those appearances are more of an infomercial than a guest spot on even a local talk show.

Cathy never informs the reader about her accuracy ratings.

Additionally, Cathy claims to have read the stars. We must assume she is referring to celebrities --and what does that prove?

- She states:

In the past I have worked with police departments on murders cases and found missing children.

We ask what police departments? What are the names of the missing kids she found? None of that information is revealed.

- She claims that she has “taught many successful workshop through out the country.” Yet there is no listing of such events.

- She has a section on Candle Majick, which is unproven that it works. Even worse, she fails to mention God’s warnings against taking part in this sort of thing.

- She will charge you $100 for a phone reading and for $150, Ms. Roller will take you on a past life regression [there is no such thing] but she’ll be happy to take your money

Now being the great psychic, she claims to be, I really need to ask this question: Shouldn’t she have known that I’d find the abandoned website from 2006? She should have seen that I’m about to burst her psychic bubble even more.

This is a website that she has let slip her mind [she has to have lousy spirit guides]. This one really does her in.

There are 9 comments. Pay close attention to the first two comments. Notice the wording, misspelling of the word investagater, and the use of the lower case i. Whoever posted this blog/page came up with the comments [busted!] but the most damning comment is the second. The case described here is the case that was featured on the show. What we saw on Supernatural Sisters wasn’t a new case but one from the past.

It’s bad enough for psychics to lie about their gifts. No psychic has ever solved a case, found a missing child, or done anything to help the world. All most psychics want is face time on TV, cold hard cash or your credit card number, and to blind the public to the truth.

Thursday October 25, 2012, I went to see Chip Coffey at the Congress hotel 520. S Michigan in Chicago. I wanted to believe in him so much , I wish I read about cold readings and how they would stage paranormal state before I went.  I paid over $200 to go, the first part he talked about his childhood and when he became a physic medium, He claims at about seven years old he started seeing spirits, he claimed to be the first caller id, he knew who was calling before they called. He claimed his great-grandmother was a full-blooded Cherokee Indian medicine woman and people would travel for miles to see her. He claims he didn’t start using his powers til fourteen years ago, he tried to become an actor and worked on a physic phone line.He said after his mom died he didn’t see her til nine years later, but he can see other people’s relatives just by looking at them! the second part he did a few readings including me, but he also mentioned if you want a full reading you have to call the number on his website and it cost $500! You had to tell him the name of the person (my father Robert,but he went by the names of Bob or coach , which he didn’t pick up on how long he passed away (ten years) and how old were they(53). He was so off, he guessed it was my father , but everything else he was so off! He would say it may not come to you know, but if you think about it, you will figure it out, I remember everything about my dad. It was almost like if he told you the sky was red one day you will believe it! A tattoo of mine was showing and he was like a comedian , saying your dad didn’t like your tattoos, but he never really said anything, Well who’s parents like tattoos on their children?! He never mentioned I had coach tattooed on the back of my neck! He said he was funny and stubborn, most men are , and if you die at 53 of cancer , you were to stubborn to go to the doctor! Chip said no questions that is only if you book a 500$ reading, but I threw one in, I asked about the picture? He was squinting his eyes and looking like he was thinking very hard! Finally he told me I will find it, I said no the picture of me in his office he took down? My father and I grew apart for 5 years and he took down the only picture of me in his office, and I always wondered why he never put it back up, when he had a bunch of pictures of my brother. He came back with he is talking about a picture of you and him you will find soon, then he stopped! He claims to do all this work for animal charities , but he didn’t pick up I run a pit bull rescue or that I rehabilitate wild animals, racoons opossums  ect. He did about 8 readings total. The worst for me was a mother that lost her child at the age of 13. First he said they don’t know if it was an accident or not? Well he was hit by a car on a bike, it was an accident! Then when Chip found out his age he played on her emotions, said what most 13 yr old boys do, like she was the softy, if he wanted something he didn’t go to dad , he went to mommy, he knew the dad was there because he asked! she was crying so hard. The last part of the event that was about 60$ more was Chip playing around for a half an hour w/ flashlights , and it was dead! He even asked one of his employees, Have you ever seen the flashlights this slow? She said no of course. One blinked a few times….WOW! This hotel was claimed to be haunted by Al Capone, we got no voices no  curtains moving , basically I wasted over 200$ on a guy that likes to talk….A fake? I would say oh yes!!! Chip Coffey is just an actor praying on grieving people who want to believe there is a place our loved ones go. Someone just told me to have faith, and I think that is the best advice. I would never go to a medium again!

Issue 83 The Chip Coffey/Beatrice Marot Party is OVER!

Yes, folks, it's time to end the party concerning the whole Chip Coffey/Beatrice Marot fiasco.

August 15, 2012 is the final day of this whole sad affair here at the EYE ON THE PARANORMAL. If you haven't been around for the past 7 to 9 days, please ask others to fill you in about what happened over here. We're going to keep it short but not sweet as to the events that unfolded over the past week. It was just as I was shown it would.

We'd sincerely hoped that the two sides would have been willing to let bygones be bygones. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. A simple three-word statement "I AM SORRY" on all parties would have not only drawn it to an end, but win fans and respect for all those who have been part of it for many years. 

For those readers who asked why I did this, I gave kind off an evasive response. Now I admit it was meant to lay a basis for a next series of blogs, which will start next week. The series will be called THE PSYCHIC ROAD TO HELL. People who claim to have psychic gifts will tell the public that nowhere does the Bible say that psychic claims will lead one to hell. But it will. Our world is on the very edge of the end times. This time is talked about in the book of Jude the last book prior to the Book of Revelations. In Revelations, GOD shows us that the church will step away from His real word and embrace a fake gospel, and how man will explain away any sin.

This is what the new age has done. Even some bad teachings within the church have allowed this to spread.

We need to share Chip's response to the offer of posting here to help bring peace. It's unedited and just as it was sent to us:

Chip is an example of those numerous so-called psychic mediums that are already on the road to hell because of their personal beliefs, rejection of Christ's teachings and an embrace of new age antichrist beliefs. Like those who use their own personal beliefs to influence others, they only succeed in pulling people away from the Light of God and convince the confused and deluded to join them on the highway to hell. 

Both Chip Coffey and Beatrice Marot "claim" that they rely heavily on their "spirit guides" [which aren't spirits whatsoever but are either: 1 demonic, 2 psychological creations from a desperate psyche, or 3 mere fabrications as a tool to fool the public]. If both Chip and Beatrice were guided by such spirits of Light and Love, both would have been warned away from the situation from the beginning and neither would have been able to engage in such destructive behavior towards the other. Lastly, if these beings were so all-knowing and all-seeing they should have warned Chip and Beatrice to stay away from each other. They should have warned the pair that both parties' behaviors after the so-called falling out would have led to such pain and suffering. And they didn't.


As to Beatrice Marot, we wish her well. On Monday, after we said we couldn't help a person incapable of accepting help, the home we were in came under full demonic attack. Plates flew across the floor and items shot right up into the air.

Her blog post of August 8, 2012 will be unpublished and not brought up ever again.

What this scuffle showed by two so-called workers of love and light, that neither are willing or able to show that love and light they claim to possess. These are not people that walk with the Prince of Peace. These are people who follow a lord of darkness.

So remember that there were no winners in this battle -- there never could have been. Even though we took part in prayer asking for a different turnout the only thing left standing was God's Word, which gives us a warning not to turn our spirit over to such foolishness and that God's Word [which is the only truth] is just like one tin solder riding away.
