First Visit During Deliverance

By Stephen Piersall,
God’s Preservation Ministry, http://sfprs.org/

Because of the last three Deliverance’s, I have been involved with I decided to write this particular blog. There may be a right way (through God) and a wrong way (scientific, New Age) of doing a first visit to the client’s home. However, I want to give a particular scenario that I believe could be used or tailored to fit your needs accordingly.

“A WOMAN CALLS YOU SAYS SHE HAS SOMETHING DEMONIC IN HER HOME, AND IT HAS SCRATCHED HER AND HER 4-YEAR-OLD SON. SHE EXPLAINS THAT WALLS ARE KNOCKING AND THERE ARE THINGS MOVING AROUND IN THE HOME BUILT IN 1834. SHE ALSO TELLS YOU THAT THERE WAS WITCHCRAFT AND OTHER OCCULT ACTIVITY AND SUPPOSEDLY SACRIFICED A CHILD THERE. HOW WOULD YOU PROCEED FROM THERE?”

First thing on the phone before going to see her, I would advise her to have someone watch her son at a different location so we may conduct the interview in privacy and no distractions. I would encourage her to have anyone to be there with her to provide support or can relate with the findings that she has reported. I also would not go alone, as to make sure it never could get legal because she could accuse me of anything and I would have no witnesses for myself. The person coming with me would be someone I trust and know is a Christian. We would pray before knocking on the door and make sure all my senses are in alert mode.

I would introduce ourselves and turn on my digital recorder for the duration. We will sit with them and have them complete the consent form, and obtain the questionnaire that I had previously sent them so I can review their responses. I will use all my senses and listen to them tell their story. I would also have a discussion regarding fear to get their perspective, and would advise them of what I know of fear and the demonic. After reviewing the questionnaire, it will reveal all background information I need. I will take notes to document everything necessary.

I will ask permission to take a tour of the home, inside (Attic – Basement) and outside and surrounding area. I would also ask about the neighbors, and neighborhood. We would turn on EMF meter as we do the walk through. If they point out activity at a certain area, we will set the digital video camera in a spot that would be able to capture anything while I am there. My assistant would be taking random temperature, pictures, and EMF readings accordingly as well as humming christian songs throughout the process.

I will always try to debunk things accordingly, but will not tell them straight out that is what I am doing. I will always treat them with professionalism and respect, and accept any answers or comments “their truth” as they show me around and explain what goes on there.

After the walk through, we would sit and discuss the answers on the questionnaire. If they were not Christians, I would witness to them and at least plant the seed of salvation through Jesus Christ. I then would ask their permission to bind any demonic spirits present. If allowed, I would pray for the binding of the demonic spirits. I would also pray the Lord’s Prayer. I would discuss with them about releasing any Legal Rights or attachments and how they can free themselves through praying to God and asking for forgiveness and repent for any sins in their life. If they accept Jesus as their Savior, I would recommend they attend a local church of their choosing and be baptized.

I then would let her know that we will come back for a 2nd interview, which would give us time to go over the information collected and review anything the electronic equipment may have picked up. Once back to our vehicle, I would pray for continued protection and that no evil follow us back in to our lives.

Demonic Video Games Influence

By Evangelist Stephen Piersall, God’s Preservation Ministry, sfprs.org/

You can really relate to your own age when you can remember Intellivision, Atari 2600, Commodore computers, and 1981 when Donkey Kong hit the arcades. What in the world, did we do as kids before that? We played outside; Bike riding (had a Varoom motor, and streamers), Hula Hoops, Croquet, ball sports, Tonka toys, Tag, Hide & Seek, Kick the Can, Hop Scotch, tree climbing, etc. SIGH!!!
As kids, we went outside to play after doing your homework “first.” We relied on our imaginations and limitless energy to be active. Mom said, “You kids go outside and play!” We were gone until we heard our name to come home for supper then back outside again until the street lights came on. SIGH!!!

With regular visits with our grandchildren, we started to see a trend and nipped it in the bud real quick. They would start to argue as we approach our apartment on who gets the laptop, Kindle, and putting the TV on Disney or some dumb sponge with other weird-looking characters. We could have pizzas delivered every hour, and we could go away for the weekend and they would not know it. I am one of those “bad” grandfathers, when I take the two pugs out the kids come with me, and funny how I find it possible to find the long way around the neighborhood. Hey! We have to find time to get on our own electronic devices too LOL!

Keep in mind this blog is not just toward your children, but for you, adults too. After finances, the #2 items for arguments in marriages are the fact that at least one is now home from work rooted on the couch with energy drinks, wearing headphones talking to their friends they are playing video games with. It does not work at our house, as when yours truly am on the computer playing some music, or online training course, wife Karen’s voice is loud enough that I get the hint if I sit here too long. LOL

Video games can easily cause people of all ages to become fixated to the point of obsession. That and the content of many are the two primary dangers. Some say it is just the times we live in, but when you factor in the devil’s motives in finding ways to keep us away from God. The combining of culture and technology we see is making it easier for him to win his battles. No doubt, that much of the content in these games is diabolically disposed. That is certainly true for all other media like the Internet, movies, and TV.

Video games are highly interactive, and many are about killings, zombies, robbery, high-speed chases away from law enforcement, etc. The greater engaging the game, the further deeply we are drawn. We might understand this is just a game, and in the reality of life is meaningless. What about the many who do not recognize that fact? It can begin to affect our behavior, and it starts to control us, and becomes an addiction. Whatever in life comes our way where we waste away time, energy, focus, and emotions it dominates us and everything else, and dare say becomes “cult” like or very close to "worshiping."

God gave us Free Will, and every Christian should know that life is full of trials and tribulations, and we are accountable for our choices in life. While we can agree, the content in some of these games is troubling; the obsessive behavior they are prone to generate is even more of a danger. If anything else besides Jesus Christ comes to have the top place in our life, in our hearts, that is where we run into trouble. Once we genuinely put Jesus Christ, first in our lives everything else that raises itself up against the truth of the Word of God, and our spiritual growth increases, evil is defeated. These choices have to come from inside, and those who take that road all the way to the end are few (Matt.7:14). However, if we are only willing to have just a little faith, small as a grain of sand or a mustard seed, our merciful God will be there to help us with every forward step we choose to take.
Researchers have been able to link tempestuous criminals and bloodthirsty video games, which in turn these studies have shown that those young people to get into trouble at school and likely to bully other students are also most likely to play even more violent video games.

We always need to be careful what we are letting into our brains, and need to be especially wary when participating in activities that cause us to act contrary to God's principles. God has saved us and called us to a holy life (2 Timothy 1:9). Let us; therefore, out of love for God and gratefulness for Christ's saving work, follow the wise words of Paul:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Children Cutting -- Demonic?

By Evangelist Stephen Piersall,

God’s Preservation Ministry, sfprs.org/

With our children now, back in school the topic of kids cutting came up the other day. Our children today live under a different level of stress than we did growing up in the 1950-1960’s. Back in the day, we got up, ate breakfast, put on the clothes Mom picked out for us, hopped on the school bus, attended classes, mingled with friends at our lockers, hopped onto the bus, came home did our homework, went outside to play until the supper (not dinner) time, then outside again until the streetlights came on. Our only big vices were smoking, drinking, and marijuana.

Kids today still have similar vices. However, it is fair to say they have much more to choose from; smoking, drinking, street drugs, prescription drugs, bullying, school shootings, single parents, no Father’s in their lives, financial pressure, clothes have to be in style, video games, social media, all kinds of electronic devices, evil movies and music, role models, and cutting.

Alas, the age of children cutting themselves has dropped steadily from college freshmen to be now fifth graders. This epidemic has no specific demographic. It has spread across all cultures, social classes, and age groups. Many professionals are claiming they are constantly hearing from their patients have been bullied, lost their self-confidence, victims of sexual abuse or molestation. It also releases endorphins producing a quick rush like a “high” making this behavior addictive.

A friend of mine years back had a daughter who cut herself every day. She stated it was like a “rush.” The same as getting high on drugs fueled by loneliness, depression, and isolation led her into cutting. She did not have the stable family life. Her parents were always fighting; the norm was to hear yelling and screaming as soon as she got off the school bus. She at no time felt loved or accepted, and her mother did everything for her. She never learned to be responsible nor have the emotional skill set to cope with her life.

It overwhelmed her and she became secluded. This depression and isolation opened the door for deeper and darker demonic torment. She spoke of hearing voices telling her to cut or die, “Just do it!” Her cutting became a routine way to gain attention to her. This filled the void she had and was hunger for love and attention. She was afraid if she stopped, the attention would go away. When the school reported it to her parents, she felt betrayed and quit school. She was feeling guilty for trusting anyone in the first place. Instantly, she felt it was wrong to ask for help, and this was God’s concern. Except she did not know God and who else could she blame for her rotten life. It was not until a few of us banded together and started taking an interest in her, sort of like a “mission of God.” Helping her realize Jesus would forgive her, and getting to know the unlimited love, he has for us, in time she could stop cutting.

David Rosen, MD, MPH, is professor of pediatrics at the University of Michigan and director of the Section for Teenage and Young Adult Health at the University of Michigan Health Systems in Ann Arbor. He offers parents tips on what to watch for:

  • Small, linear cut marks. “The most typical cuts are very linear, straight line, often parallel like railroad ties carved into the forearm, the upper arm, sometimes the legs,” Rosen tells WebMD. “Some people cut words into themselves. If they are having body-image issues, they may cut the word ‘fat.’ If they’re having trouble at school, it may be ‘stupid,’ ‘loser,’ ‘failure,’ or a big ‘L.’ those are the things we see pretty regularly.”
  • Unexplained cuts and scratches that appear often in the same area. “I wish I had a nickel for every time someone says, ‘The cat did it,’,” says Rosen.
  • Mood changes like depression or anxiety, out-of-control behavior, changes in relationships, communication, and school performance. Kids who are unable to manage day-to-day stress of life are vulnerable to cutting, says Rosen.

Over time, the cutting typically escalates — occurring more often, with more and more cuts each time, Rosen tells WebMD. “It takes less provocation for them to cut. It takes more cutting to get the same relief — much like drug addiction. In addition, for reasons I cannot explain but have heard often enough, the more blood the better. Most of the cutting I see is quite superficial, and looks more like scratches than cuts. It’s the sort who when you put pressure on it, it stops the "bleeding".

A guideline to parenting has to change rapidly to keep pace. The evil one and his demons have ramped up their influence on our youth. If evil can take the focus of God away from the church, and the nuclear family that we knew, he has won the battle. Instead of getting on our knees as a family praying to God, they have a tendency to blame God. Battles may be lost, but the war is already been won with Jesus shedding his blood for us. We need to ban together as children of God and become more active parents, and bring up our children knowing and accepting God’s forgiveness and love.

If you have identified these signs in your children, please seek out a counselor and speak to your Pastor about Deliverance ministry. Do not delay in getting the help your child needs. Counseling is important and necessary but cutting also involves “Legal Rights” given to the demonic spirits. They need to be confronted and be cast out.

Each case is different; however, in the Deliverance ministry, we want to address the spirits of suicide and death quickly. Once those are gone, we can begin the process of dealing with the other aspects of deliverance and healing aimed at the open doors/emotional traumas that led them to cut in the first place. Deliverance ministry is like an “onion,” we must peel it layer by layer. Anyone who claims they can just “cleanse” or “Bless” your home and all is well. Beware of False prophets!

There Is No Safe Way To Use Ouija Boards

Hello my beauties! I trust you had a great weekend and I hope you enjoy my humble blogs regarding my opinion on the Supernatural from a Christian point of view even though I hate calling myself a Christian due to how many of them exhibit a poor example. Remember we will answer for turning people off from getting to know The Lord.

Halloween is approaching and I am trying to address topics from your many thought provoking questions emails. I do my best to return all emails just keep in mind with a day job and cases I am limited on time for that unfortunately.

Ouija Boards- I have witnessed awful consequences people have to bare from playing around with these. In my humble opinion they are nothing more than portals to the demonic. Christ warns us about this.."Beware Of The Familiar Spirit." Our friends and loved ones are mimicked by demonic entities in a effort to trick us into offering help or becoming highly involved in keeping the communication going. This eventually allows them legal ground into our life. Now you have big problems. These things hate humans and anyone who loves Christ. They will torment you and your loved ones into thinking you are crazy. Things will escalate and get worse over time. This situation will not go away on it's own. You can't ignore it and it eventually go away. You will be tormented beyond belief. I am very strong about this due to what I've witnessed and do not want anyone to even entertain the thought. No matter how curious you are, is it worth it? Is it really worth it?

Ouija Boards. A tool of the devil? Ouija is a combination of the French and German words, oui and ja , which mean yes, yes.

These boards have letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0-9, the words ‘yes’ ‘no’ and ‘goodbye’, and other symbols and words are sometimes also added to help personalize the board. The Ouija board is used to communicate with spirits of the dead. Although nobody knows where the idea for such a device came from, there are records of Ouija-like instruments being used in ancient China, Greece, Rome and many other countries.

"Use of a Ouija has even led to violence and even to murder..." Dr. Marta Prohazka of Fairfax, Virginia, is also convinced that spirits can play terrifying destructive games with human behavior. During her practice as psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, she realized that many patients she had considered "hallucinating paranoid schizophrenics" might instead merely be in touch with something invisible to her but visible to them."I came to understand that another plane, or dimension or existence interrelated with our plane or visible manifestation," she said. "By training and expanding consciousness, some individuals gain entrance into that invisible dimension. It seems to some like a window into heaven.

I have to ask, is it worth it? Is curiosity really worth testing this common belief? This isn't just my opinion but the opinion of many who are not even very religious.

The Problem with Haunted Houses

By Lisa Grace

Watching the paranormal shows the first thing the homeowners/renters usually do is call a paranormal group to document or agitate the supernatural beings.

Which of course, is the wrong thing do. Paranormal groups want more connections, not less with these evil beings. They have no interest in driving them out and choose instead to communicate and attract more of them. Many plan on repeating visits, again showing no interest in helping the residents to drive them out.

If someone truly wants evil beings driven out, they call a man of God to bless the house and drive the creatures out, permanently. If the inhabitants are not saved, the creatures could come back, as those who are not saved are easy to "attach" to and to possess.

Unfortunately, doing a house blessing, fasting, anointing with oil, and praying, and then having "no activity" may lead to a peaceful dwelling place, which does not make good TV.

People pay to stay at haunted places, and they have become tourist attractions in their own right. In Jesus' times, possessed people were kicked out of town (or worse), and evil spirits seemed to migrate to caves. Not all demons are equal, some prefer to mimic past living people, others get physical, and others seem almost passive or friendly (they're not). Playing with these entities is dangerous. They can "attach" to anyone who is unsaved. Many people who work against the demonic surround themselves with a strong circle of prayer warriors who pray for protection for them continually.

Playing with these entities is dangerous and should not be treated like a game.

What Are Poltergeists?

By Reverend Mark Hunnemann

If you walk into a house and see a book fly across the room, what would be the first words out of your mouth(other than SC-startled cuss!)? Somebody will probably blurt out, "Hey, poltergeist activity!" It has become fashionable for paranormal investigators to speak of any paranormal activity of this kind as poltergeist, even if they are not referring to the actual poltergeist phenomenon. Yes it has become confusing. For example, they might think the activity actually stems from trapped spirits, but ANY activity that is forceful and loud is categorized as poltergeist. But what I want to examine is the theory of poltergeists as PK (psychokinesis) or TK (telekinesis). Here are the four main types of paranormal activity: intelligent haunt, residual haunt, poltergeist, and demonic. It is my firm conviction that the first three in this list are actually demonic in nature--and especially for our purposes, the accounts of genuine poltergeist activity are most certainly a demonic infestation.

"Poltergeist" is from the German meaning noisy ghost. It is important that we define our terms clearly, and this nowhere more important than when discussing this alleged phenomenon. There are different theories as to the nature of this activity, but the generally accepted theory (in parapsychology) is that a troubled pre-teen or teen, who also is sensitive to the supernatural, may unwittingly cause paranormal activity via PK or TK...especially during times of high stress. One writer refers to five stages of poltergeist activity, but it boils down to gradation between mild to deadly. Despite the wide range of possible poltergeist activity, there is one main constant--the activity is not caused by a trapped spirit, but by strangely powerful psycho-kinetic power., which is unconsciously released by a troubled teen....usually a female. It is similar to a residual haunt in this respect: both are non-intelligent phenomena.

Tracing the history of this notion is not easy because of  divergent definitions of  poltergeist activity (see above). However, it is clear that the notion of poltergeists has undergone a complete identity change. Up till the mid 19th century poltergeist activity was widely thought to be the result of witchcraft or demonic activity. However, in the last hundred years or so--corresponding to the ascendancy of psychology as well prevalence of occult practices--the origin of poltergeist activity shifted away from the demonic and to our alleged innate psychical powers. With the loss of a Christian consensus and worldview, New Age/occult theory and practice as well as psychological categories becoming ensconced in our culture, have downplayed the demonic. Both of these (occult worldview and psychology) contributed to the evolution of the identity of poltergeists as an interior psychic force and not an exterior intelligent force. (ie demon). This is an example of how we are destined to move further and further from reality and truth when we jettison the biblical worldview.

I want to shift gears and critique what we have said thus far. It does not help matters when inexplicably large numbers of people reflexively shout "poltergeist!" when anything forceful happens...or even simply discernible.

1. The notion of poltergeists as the unconscious workings of a troubled teen is cruel...especially if it is not true (and it is not). Do we realize the true psychological damage that this theory can cause? Talk about kicking a woman when she is down (generally female teen)--a frightened 14 year old girl/young woman, who is herself being scratched, is told that she is the cause of all the horribly destructive things that are happening to her family. It makes no difference how sincere and lovingly this may be believed and presented to the affected teen, it saddles them with enormous guilt--and no way of correcting the problem. With the demonic already assaulting her in a multitude of ways, the teen may see suicide as the only means of escape for her and her family. Self-destruction plays right into the demons intent. The more emotionally sensitive the person is, the more they are apt to suffer horribly by this miserable "diagnosis from hell". It is little comfort to tell them that the activity is unconscious, because in their mind it is still coming from them--it is their fault her dad broke his arm when pushed down the steps. It is all her fault that the family is unravelling. The cruelty may be unintentional but it is cruel nonetheless. I have three children and the thought of someone saddling them with this diagnosis gets my blood boiling.

2. There is no evidence that we have this kind of PK abilities, unless you assume the very thing you are trying to prove. There has been extensive research done at Duke and elsewhere and a variable never considered is that when PK occurs it is demonically caused. Nobody has been able to reproduce in the lab what occurs in millions of homes, to various degrees. In allegedly severe poltergeist activity, chairs can fly and tables levitate....and knives fly directly at people. Can that be reproduced in the lab? Nope--so why are we being irresponsible and applying an unproven theory with utter certainty to teenagers?

3. There are unmistakable signs of intelligence in the attacks-- but this theory is wholly incapable of accounting for this. How can non-intelligent psychic energy target someone and throw them down the steps...or throw objects AT THEM? There is discernible intent to harm...how can impersonal psychic energy display intent? Once again, this theory involves attributing personal or human traits to impersonal energy.

4. This unmistakable appearance of intelligence renders this theory as intellectually bankrupt. The only reasonable cause behind such intelligent attacks is the presence of demonic entities. Let me ask this: what criteria does one use to distinguish between poltergeist activity and demonic activity? If demons can mimic anything...if they have intelligence and power, then they can account for every case of alleged poltergeist activity....and do so without emotionally harming someone in the process. The mere presence of a teen in the infested house is enough for many investigators to start their poltergeist wheels turning--God help any oppressed family if they have teens and certain kinds of activity (which differ from person to person) are occurring. If the main reason one attributes this activity to poltergeist is that there is a troubled teen in the picture, then this is circular reasoning. Cannot demons attack a family that has troubled teens in it? To conclude this section, EVERY CASE IN WHICH TRUE PARANORMAL ACTIVITY WAS DIAGNOSED AS POLTERGEIST, IS REALLY DEMONIC IN NATURE..And if you mid-diagnose the problem, then the proposed cure will be way off base as well.

Like R H, the theory of poltergeist has been repeated so often that folks just assume it is true.  In addition, there seems to be very little self-reflection regarding this theory. In wiser times this notion would never have found a sane audience. This is where the power, for good or ill, of worldview spectacles is seen. The biblical worldview, which has the true God as ultimate reality, has been displaced by an energy-centric worldview. This has provided fertile ground for non-biblical theories like poltergeist to flourish. We have a soul, but nowhere in the bible are we said to have psychic abilities.waiting for us to tap.

The way folks determine that a haunt is poltergeist in nature is disturbingly subjective. What one investigator determines is poltergeist, the next will likely call it an intelligent haunt that is very active. And since there is no way to PROVE that the teen is the cause, it becomes a guessing game...only the stakes are enormously high.

As with residual haunt and aliens, it is instructive how rebuking/cleansing in the name of Jesus will cause poltergeist activity to cease--often with signs of demonic capitulation. Merely psychic powers, like r h, should not respond to this...but in every case I have been involved in, they have fled.

Again, as with r h, Satan knows a good thing when it sees it.It (Satan) has a vested interest in keeping the theories of r h and poltergeist alive and well--and will do everything to make them appear plausible...even temporarily vacating a house after occult cleansing has been done. Satan has both means and motive to commit this crime...and in my judgment, the theory of poltergeists is a crime against humanity.

Musings on Indwelling Sin (It Usually Is Not a Demon)

By Reverend Mark Hunnemann

Pastor Jim “Thanks for coming in the office today Sam—what’s on your mind my friend?”
Sam “Well, it seems like ever since I decided nine months ago to really love Jesus above all else, that is when the troubles began.”
Pastor Jim “What kind of troubles brother?”
Sam “I feel this battle inside—heck, I don’t even understand my own actions. Often-times, I do not do what I really want to do…and I end up doing the very thing I hate! Pride, lust, and anger are things I wrestle with—a lot. It happens so often I feel depressed.”
Pastor Jim “Sam, I know you are a godly man—so there must be some outside influence that is oppressing you. Sounds like you have a demonic attachment. Why don’t we set up an appointment to deliver you from those demons of pride, lust, and anger?”

The above is a compressed composite of many complaints I have heard from earnest Christians over the years—ongoing frustration with sin. The diagnosis and treatment suggested by the spiritual physician (the pastor or deliverance minister) has become standard operating procedure.

My heart is broken over this because I do not like to correct brothers, but I have to say the following—the vast majority (not all) of deliverance ministers and books are harming more people than they are helping. Why do I make that dreadful comment? Because if our diagnosis is way off, then so will be the treatment…and our diagnosis above is an example of how awful the situation has become. Of necessity the above conversation had to be brief, but even after hours of counseling and questionnaires, it accurately depicts the final outcome—almost always demons are found to be the culprit. Categories frequently ignored are the fall (and its psychological consequences), and indwelling sin, which is the focus of this analysis. Even if personal sin is mentioned, it is almost never discussed in the manner in which we will.

Do you realize that the problem Sam mentioned (which got him diagnosed as having a demonic attachment) is a quote from the apostle Paul regarding his own struggles with sin??!! (see Romans 7:14—8:1) The existential, psychological anguish which Paul expresses over his battle with sin—specifically v.15 (which Sam quotes almost verbatim), is a major reason why the pastor thought he was experiencing demonic oppression. I’m convinced that if Paul were alive today and writing as he did then, he would have deliverance ministers claiming he was diabolically oppressed.

My dear friends, I hope and pray this discussion will bring comfort to some troubled souls. Demonologists and deliverance ministers are causing incredible carnage amongst Christians due to an epidemic of shallow understanding of theology and the bible. We know that Satan and his demonic hoard are our sworn enemies, and to be ignorant of their schemes will cause all sorts of significant problems for us. The bible tells us that Satan is a defeated foe, and yet we are engaged in a battle royal every day !! (Eph. 6) Likewise with sin—it is a defeated foe (not blinded or enslaved anymore), but we are engaged in a life-long battle royal with indwelling sin. Why do we recognize the former, but not the latter?

The united voice of scripture states that the vast majority of hateful thoughts, lustful thoughts, covetous thoughts (fill in the blank) are not caused by demons but from indwelling sin. It is vitally important for demonologists to know this…it is equally imperative that every Christian know this!

Tragically, the compressed hypothetical conversation above is repeated many times everyday by deliverance ministers, who are abysmally ignorant of the bible’s teaching regarding indwelling sin. Listen to God’s word…

“…every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Gen. 6:5) Lest we think this was just a pre-flood observation, “…for the intentions of man’s heart is evil from his youth.” (Gen. 8:21)—written AFTER the  Flood.
“Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.” (Ps: 51:5) This reference to “original sin” is not the original/first sin of man, but the sin nature passed on to every human being.
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” (Jer. 17:9) So much for following your heart type advice!!
“For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Matt.12:34)—according to James, NOBODY has their tongue properly trained, so what does that say about the heart? (James 3:2)
“For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander.” (Matt. 15:19) Out of the heart…not demonic influence/projection.
“But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire…” (James 1:14-15)…do you see demons anywhere in this text on temptation???
“For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you for doing the things you want to do.” (Gal.5:17)
This text in Galatians encapsulates an excruciating, extended exposition of the battle with indwelling sin in Romans 7: 14-:8:1)…”Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.”(v.20)

This side of heaven there is a tension between the “already” and the “not yet”. Much harmful, shallow teaching regarding sanctification/spiritual warfare disregards the fact that some aspects of our salvation are true “already” (or now) and some are “not yet”…their full realization will not be experienced till heaven. When these are “telescoped together” (already and not-yet), then disaster often occurs. In 1 John 3:2 we are told that when we go to heaven, then we will finally be able to see God face to face because will be sinless.

In wiser times, the universal testimony of notably godly people was how sinful they saw themselves to be, and how they yearned for heaven to see Jesus face-to-face, and to be free from the presence of sin. If a Christian were to admit how sinful they were in many Christian circles, he would be rebuked for not being “victorious”!! I have said this before but the greatest deficiency in modern preaching is the dearth of God-intoxicated messages. The heresy of the prosperity gospel has affected most TV preachers. A deficient understanding of the holiness of God, will lead to a deficient view of our sinfulness, and a deficient view of our sinfulness leads to a deficient of grace-as well as leaving us woefully out of touch with reality. Perhaps this will help: justification (past tense already/now) deals with the GUILT OF SIN,  sanctification (present and on-going or progressive) deals with the POWER OF SIN,  and glorification (not yet..future) deals with the PRESENCE OF SIN.

Let me use an analogy to illustrate what happens as we mature in Christ. Picture an iceberg—nine-tenths of it is under the water line..only a small portion is visible. That is an apt analogy of how many see sin. The focus is on the visible behavior—do certain things, and avoid others, then you are seen as godly. But under the water line, in the cold, dark, murky depths lies our impure motives…covetousness…critical attitude..and so on. As we mature, more spiritual nerves are exposed, and we become increasingly aware of what is going on “under the water line”. The sin was always there but was overlooked.

In Rom.7:17,20 Paul laments that sin indwelling inside of him causes him to do that which he hates, or not do what he loves.(the law helped him see below the water-line) Demons or Satan are nowhere in sight in this discussion. Friends, we are very capable of being tempted FROM WITHIN because indwelling sin never leaves us—it corrupts everything we do. As one saint said, “He had to repent of even his most fervent of prayers.” Our motives are never utterly pure. But back to demons—they are finite in number and localized…they come and they go (unless oppressed or possessed), but indwelling sin is always present. There does not have to be a demon within 100 miles, and we still have to be on guard against indwelling sin, which can flare up at any moment and destroy us if we are not careful.

I dare say that if a person paraphrased Romans 7 (or just Gal.5:17) to the average deliverance minister, they would be convinced that person was under demonic oppression! And worse, they (as has happened countless times) will try to cast out demons from inside this struggling Christian. No time to elaborate, but demons cannot physically indwell a Christian…PERIOD!!!

What is indwelling sin? The simplest way of answering that is to say that after we are saved, there remains sin in our hearts. We are new creations (Gal.2:20) with a new nature—we do NOT have a battle between two natures, because the old nature is gone. But that does not mean indwelling sin has been eradicated. There is a nexus of anti-God and selfish inclinations lurking within us—and it will be a battle royal until the day we die. Though not a personal being like a demon, it is still an energized cesspool--a network that vitiates or pollutes EVERYTHING we do—even our best actions with best of intentions are corrupted by this radical despoilment of our entire human nature. As we mature in Christ we should become more aware of how radically and comprehensively indwelling sin corrupts everything we think, do, and say. Please believe me when I say there was a time when a humble school child could elaborate on indwelling sin. Anemic views of God lead to anemic views of sin.

Indwelling sin operates much like demons do—there are two main functions…force of  temptation and deceit or deception. Though it is inanimate, indwelling sin is an active energy pulsating and polluting everything in its path. In James we see that the “intent” of indwelling sin is our destruction—much the same as demons. All sorts of temptations bubble up from within, and indwelling sin will also seek to deceive us that it does not exist.

PLEASE…if you are struggling, don’t assume it is demonic. It may very well be demonic, but examine yourself…chances are you are simply struggling with indwelling sin. But praise God for the daily beauty of the gospel and that we stand perfect in Christ’s righteousness. Much more could be said, but I need to stop.

What Are Shadow Figures?

By Reverend Mark Hunnemann

What are shadow figures? Most folks would answer that by saying that they are trapped human spirits. However, the more unmoored from a biblical worldview we become, the more “unreal” and fantastical the speculation has become regarding their identity. I have come to a different conclusion. It is true that, in addition to logic and science, I approach this issue from a biblical worldview, but as I argue in "Seeing Ghosts through God's Eyes"we all have a worldview and it informs and shapes our conclusions we come to just as "intrusively". We all wear worldview spectacles that affect the way we see data; I simply make mine explicit. (an important but distinct issue, is determining which worldview is true—corresponds to reality). The biblical worldview is coherent (internally consistent), and corresponds to what we know instinctively about ourselves and the world we live in. In an age of irrationality, which is unprecedented in the history of mankind, the bible trumpets the reality of true truth—which is objective and absolute—the Oracles of the Living God (bible) as we saw last week...

When I saw my first shadow figure—solid, black humanoid shaped--12 years ago, I knew instinctively what it was: a demon.Since then, I have experienced a lot of supernatural activity, and shadow figures seem to be the most common form it chooses to take—which is significant in itself. Let me give the reasons for why I believe ALLshadow figures are demonic in nature, and not a shadowy presence of a loved one.

First, our understanding of the nature of God is central to our worldviews--most of which are held unconsciously. The infinite/personal God of the Bible is holy. The refulgence of His glory is blinding…brighter than the noon-day sun. Jesus said He is the Light of the world as opposed to Satan who is the Prince of darkness, This is not a black versus white issue, it is a light versus darkness issue. I could pile up references that speak of good in terms of light and evil in terms of darkness (see John 3). Darkness signifies distance from God and affinity with evil. Now shadow figures are invariably dark. From head to toe there is no light emanating--just walking darkness. The sheer darkness would seem to suggest that they are “pure evil”…which is precisely what they are.

Second, logic and science imply that a self--existent and eternal God, as well as infinite and personal, had to create paranormal phenomena. An impersonal physical realm cannnot give rise to a supernatural end personal entity--that would be like water rising above its source. Having said that, do we really believe that God would create our essence (souls) to appear in such a fashion that they frighten loved ones when they see them? Some argue that in this case you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. As an author I know people do judge books by their cover and our first impressions of shadow figures are almost always fearful. I ask again—do we really think God would allow our essence to become so freaky looking that it scares the daylights out of loved one’s?

Third, if there is one word that summarizes the general behavior of shadow figures it is "furtive"--they slyly dart from shadow to shadow, trying to avoid detection, or are seen in one’s peripheral vision. (I know there are exceptions—they stand at the foot of one’s bed—but these exceptions prove the rule) Furtive behavior is normally associated with spiritual and moral decay. Consider the first furtive act in the history of mankind. After committing cosmic treason against a holy God, we are told that Adam and Eve slunk around in the garden ashamed of their nakedness--which was indicative of a spiritual and moral nakedness.. Hence, not only the appearance but the behavior of shadow figures belies their demonic nature. As pure evil,. they slink around, always aware of the GAZE of the holy God, against whom they have rebelled..

Yes, there are manifestations of shadow figures that stand at the foot of the bed, or rape the occupant in the bed, but most SHADOWS are caught out of the corner of the eye…are they not? I am not interested in sneering argument or endless conjecture—the presence of shadow figures are prominent in the demonic infestations that the Lord brings to me to cleanse. Often, it is the observed departure of a shadow figure demon, that signals their surrender and exit.

Fourth, while on earth an essential trait of our souls is invisibility. No surgeon has ever seen a soul, but they exist. How is it then that after we die, some souls gain the trait of potential visibility? Do you really believe that the shadow figure you saw the other night is the soul or essence of a human being? If so, who gave them this new ability to manifest as frightening looking shadows?. How did the essentially invisible, take on visivility?

Lastly, one of the widely held paranormal maxims is: as in life, so in death. If a man was a jerk while alive, then he will be a jerk as a ghost. If ghosts exist then that makes sense. I would press it further: upon death, there must be 100 percent continuity of moral character and personality. So shadow figures, or ghosts in general, must represent a true cross section of American citizens. Aunt Sally was an extrovert, never met a stranger, and she was very vocal about her love for Jesus. Where are the Aunt Sally’s in the shadow figure population? Or the whole alleged ghost population for that matter? I've heard a couple of EVP’s that say “God” or "Jesus", but where is the EVP expressing warm worship of Him? Where is the shadow figure that declares the gospel or asserts Jesus is their shield and defender? The “as in life, so in death” principle is shattered by these godless entities.

Jesus stated that what we say is expressive of the habits/nature of our hearts—whatever fills our hearts will come out of our mouths. Hence, the universal lack of praising the glory of the Person and work of Christ amongst shadow figures, gives us a glimpse into the Christ-hating habits of their hearts. If shadow figures are really demons, then this is precisely what one would expect. Ocham’s razor would indicate that the simplest explanation of the identity of shadow figures is that they are demonic.

A couple of further thoughts—these entities should NOT be referred to as “shadow people” because they are not people!! They are pure evil… unclean spirits, bent on the destruction of people. Amy Allan of the TV show The Dead Files is deathly afraid of these shadow creatures because, according to her, they almost killed her when she was four years old—they persuaded her to bite into an electrical cord. But she has stated that she has no clue as to who they are or where they come from. As with all paranormal entities, the true identity of shadow figures is not a paranormal or scientific issue—it is a theological issue. How sad that folks would get excited about observing that which intends to destroy them. For God’s glory, let us expel them in the name of Jesus.

Issue 84 The Psychic Highway to Hell – Part 1

 By Kirby Robinson

Spirit Guides Are The Official Chauffeurs On The Highway To Hell

As I pointed out last week, we'll focus on the subject of the PSYCHIC HIGHWAY TO HELL. One of the useful tools of the antichrist is to pull as many as he can onto the highway to hell by using spirit guides. This is something that everyone can relate to in a sense as everyone wants a way to reach the spiritual world and it's a way to make people feel special.

Have you ever noticed when talking about spirit guides how they have some things in common?

1 They often have very strange and exotic names

2 They claim to have special powers

3 They are often than from such places as Egypt, India or are Native American

3 They hold the key to secret information or lost teachings

4 They always ask you to let them into your life

5 They died tragic deaths

All of the above can be found when it comes to the subject of spirit guides. Back in the 1980s when I was involved with the new age, these were things I was told to tell people when the subject came up.

When it comes to spirit guides they fall into the following groups:

1 Some fake psychic wants to impress their clients, so they make them up and act as if they're talking to them. Clients are always impressed when they read or hear: "My spirit guide King Such and Such, who ruled Atlantis until his enemies killed him…was the greatest of all seers!" [What a shame that mythical King didn't see the plot to kill him]. They tell me you're struggling in a relationship and that makes people think this has to be real.

The fake psychic will say it came from "my vision", so you feel that the message must be real as a spirit guide can't lie.

2 The spirit guide is simply a creation of a person who is suffering from a mental illness.

3 The spirit guide is a creation of a person's psyche so they can stand out by being different or special. Thus, my spirit guide is a high priestess or an Indian shaman.

4 Or is it demonic? Demons love to play the role of a spirit guide when they are dressed up as one. It's so easy for them to get you to let them be a part of your life. When a demon plays the role of a spirit guide they will first start out as one but as soon as you're opening up to them they will start to introduce you to other spirit guides, or will hand you over to a much stronger demon.

Some might say that the first 3 groups don't sound harmful all. This is initially true. But let's take the example of a fake psychic that uses fake spirit guides in readings. What happens when the psychic acts as if he is talking to his fake guide and suddenly there is a spirit guide talking to him? His practice of faking opens himself up to the demonic realm. Then you toss in the spirit guide business and it just blows the door off the hinges to allow it in. So the psychic thinks, "Hey I am really psychic!" And the spirit guide has got him headed for hell.

As for those who are mentally/emotionally ill, be aware that demons love to work themselves into their lives. When you're dealing with cases of people with mental illness and the demonic a great challenge you face is it the mental illness causing the appearance of the demons? Or is the demon a creation of the mental illness? Or is it just mental illness?

All the above are things that I've witnessed and confronted in my years in the new age and battling demons.

I've found it odd and maybe it's due to the fact the majority of the Christian church has sold out to: A] The new age, B] The idea that demons don't exist, C] A soft pedaling of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. So many Christians are on the road to hell. Additionally, the false teaching that once saved, always saved, corrupts Christians.

Is it just me, but isn't it strange that if these spirits are what they claim, then:

1 Why are they not handing out winning lottery numbers to the poor?

2 Why are they not helping people find jobs?

3 Why do they never talk about the real Jesus Christ? I've never heard a spirit guide ever say "Jesus is the only path into heaven" [which He is]. They never talk about the gospel [at least the one we follow].

So if you encounter anyone whether it is a fake psychic, pastor or even so-called lightworkers who claim to have a spirit guide [or guides], have nothing to do with them. Find protection in GOD. If a voice comes to you and says it is so and so and it claims that GOD sent it, or if it claims that it's human, then grab your bible and rebuke it with His word. If the spirit says it became an angel, plug your ears. Only angels are angels nothing can "become" an angel.

Don't play around with inviting a spirit guide into your life. This nonsense can even be found on eHow, a false step-by-step guide in learning about communicating with spirits [we won't provide a link to it]. The only things you'll get are a host of demons and free passage down the psychic road to hell.

Next week we'll expose the lies behind guided visualization, channeling, and getting a psychic reading over the phone. Because any of the three will get you a ticket on the PSYCHIC HIGHWAY TO HELL.

Issue 83 The Chip Coffey/Beatrice Marot Party is OVER!

By Kirby Robinson

Yes, folks, it's time to end the party concerning the whole Chip Coffey/Beatrice Marot fiasco.

August 15, 2012 is the final day of this whole sad affair here at the EYE ON THE PARANORMAL. If you haven't been around for the past 7 to 9 days, please ask others to fill you in about what happened over here. We're going to keep it short but not sweet as to the events that unfolded over the past week. It was just as I was shown it would.

We'd sincerely hoped that the two sides would have been willing to let bygones be bygones. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. A simple three-word statement "I AM SORRY" on all parties would have not only drawn it to an end, but win fans and respect for all those who have been part of it for many years.

For those readers who asked why I did this, I gave kind off an evasive response. Now I admit it was meant to lay a basis for a next series of blogs, which will start next week. The series will be called THE PSYCHIC ROAD TO HELL. People who claim to have psychic gifts will tell the public that nowhere does the Bible say that psychic claims will lead one to hell. But it will. Our world is on the very edge of the end times. This time is talked about in the book of Jude the last book prior to the Book of Revelations. In Revelations, GOD shows us that the church will step away from His real word and embrace a fake gospel, and how man will explain away any sin.

This is what the new age has done. Even some bad teachings within the church have allowed this to spread.

We need to share Chip's response to the offer of posting here to help bring peace. It's unedited and just as it was sent to us:

It will be a cold day in Hell before I'd ever write a blog for Eye on the Paranormal! I have written my rebuttal to Beatrice Marot's malicious blog and comments. It can be viewed here: http://www.chipcoffey.com/blog.html

Chip is an example of those numerous so-called psychic mediums that are already on the road to hell because of their personal beliefs, rejection of Christ's teachings and an embrace of new age antichrist beliefs. Like those who use their own personal beliefs to influence others, they only succeed in pulling people away from the Light of God and convince the confused and deluded to join them on the highway to hell.

Both Chip Coffey and Beatrice Marot "claim" that they rely heavily on their "spirit guides" [which aren't spirits whatsoever but are either: 1 demonic, 2 psychological creations from a desperate psyche, or 3 mere fabrications as a tool to fool the public]. If both Chip and Beatrice were guided by such spirits of Light and Love, both would have been warned away from the situation from the beginning and neither would have been able to engage in such destructive behavior towards the other. Lastly, if these beings were so all-knowing and all-seeing they should have warned Chip and Beatrice to stay away from each other. They should have warned the pair that both parties' behaviors after the so-called falling out would have led to such pain and suffering. And they didn't.

As to Beatrice Marot, we wish her well. On Monday, after we said we couldn't help a person incapable of accepting help, the home we were in came under full demonic attack. Plates flew across the floor and items shot right up into the air.

Her blog post of August 8, 2012 will be unpublished and not brought up ever again.

What this scuffle showed by two so-called workers of love and light, that neither are willing or able to show that love and light they claim to possess. These are not people that walk with the Prince of Peace. These are people who follow a lord of darkness.

So remember that there were no winners in this battle -- there never could have been. Even though we took part in prayer asking for a different turnout the only thing left standing was God's Word, which gives us a warning not to turn our spirit over to such foolishness and that God's Word [which is the only truth] is just like one tin solder riding away.
